@dannewton just finished a 16.18km run, that lasted for 96 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 1306.0 calories.

Description from Strava: Today is the start of my holiday... I'm not going away anywhere, its just nice to not be at work. It needed using up anyway, but I picked this week for 2 reasons.

1 - my partner is going to be heading back to university this weekend, so its a chance to spend some time together before she goes

2 - I've been doing a level 2 accountancy course, and I've planned to do my final exam this week too.

The exam is actually tomorrow, so I've spent the past week frantically revising and trying to get as prepared as I can. Fingers crossed I pass, as not only has the last 2 months been a drag trying to get it completed, but if I fail, it's gonna cost me another 100 quid... I'd rather not do that!

After spending the morning revising, and completing a practice paper, it was time for a break and get some fresh air.

Of that means going out for a run. Usually if I was at work, then today would have been a 6km walk in, and then a 6km walk home. As I've not been for a walk this morning, I decided to compensate by going for a longer run than I've managed recently

I made up a route at the last minute, and hoped it would be approx 15km...

I headed out onto the long stretch towards Waddington

...and down the hill onto Station Road

I took a right turn and headed along Brant Road into town

It was approx 3:30 at this point, and the rush hour traffic was beginning to build

past South Common...

...and up Canwick Hill

This then took me along to join up to the bypass, and then it was a short run to get home from here.

The run turned out to be just over 16km, which was fine... and turned out to be the longest run I've managed so far this year. As you can see from the pictures, its been dull and gloomy all day, and in fact as I was on the final stretch home, mist was starting to form.

Time now for a shower, and then there is one more practice paper to attempt and then I guess my revision is done, and I'll see what I can manage in my exam tomorrow!

By lunchtime tomorrow, I'll be able to finally relax and enjoy the rest of my time off. I was hoping my partner and I could go out for some walks somewhere, but this dull, gloomy and damp weather is forecast to linger for the rest of the week... I'm sure we'll find something to keep us occupied!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)
