This run helped dannewton burn 963.0 calories.
Description from Strava: Another easy effort today to take my weekly total to just over 40km for the week so far. I've been on Annual Leave this week, and it's been nice to be able to run at diffeerent times, and also to potter around the house during this week. It's been restful, and I've also managed to catch up on some jobs that have been lingering around for a while, so that was good too.
Today I went food shopping with Dad. I don't drive, so it's an opportunity to go to a big supermarket and do a 'big' shop, and fully restock the cupboards again. We went early, and so I was back home just after 10am. It was currently dry, and with rain expected to pass through later on, I decided it would be pertinent to get the run done as soon as possible.
I was aiming for approx 12km today, and so I chose a regularly run route round Brant Road and Waddington. I've done this many times in an anti-clockwise direction, but today I chose to run it backwards (clockwise), just to change things up...

I managed to get round in the dry, and while I'm typing this report up, the heavens have opened, so it was a good move to go out early!
Checking the stats (image above), I can see that even though today was an easy Zone 2 effort, I was noticeably quicker than previous efforts. Really nice to see, and really does illustrate that consistency is key.
For the rest of today, I need to wash some clothes, and then it is going to be an afternoon of admin. I've had my current email address for close to 20 years, and I've used it everywhere. I seem to get so much spam and dodgy emails now, and I think it's high time I changed to a new one. I also wanted to pick one that is not linked to Microsoft.
I started this at the beginning of the week and honestly it's one those jobs I kinda wish I hadn't started, as it is going to take for ever. It does need doing though, and in the process of doing this, I'm also having a clear out of old accounts/websites I no longer use, and generally streamline my online presence
each website/company has different ways of dealing this... some I can change in 2 seconds, some I need to confirm authorisation codes, some require 2 forms of ID(!), and some won't do it so I need to close the account and open a new one under the new email address
I've spent all week on this, and still have over 70 websites I need to amend, so that'll keep me busy this afternoon!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)
