Another busy, busy day in the office. Tuesday is usually one of my 'longer' run home days, but busy yesterday, busy today, and not a great deal of sleep last night meant that by this afternoon, I was feeling pretty damn tired.
Also feeling a little stressed out too. It's end of year, and there is just me in my little team who is actually working at the moment. I was thinking of just sacking off the long run, and just running the short 4 mile route home, but then I reasoned that going out for a longer session would benefit me.
And at the last minute I did do the longer run... and I'm really glad I did.
The route was another new one that I'd made up at the last minute (literally last night before I went to bed). It's almost 10 miles, and a nice little loop around the top of town, before heading back down towards North Hykeham and then to home.
The first 15 minutes felt tough, and then my body (and mind) relaxed and I started to enjoy it. A nice long run out today, and felt even better in the warmth of the sunshine.
Now it's time to have a quick tidy up, before some well earned rest, and making sure I get a much needed early night tonight! It will be an easier day tomorrow hopefully, plus I'll be getting the bus in, and then I'll feel suitable refreshed for the run home on Thursday
