@dannewton just finished a 22.03km run, that lasted for 132 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 1770.0 calories.

Description from Strava: A lovely run out in the sunshine to tick of the long run of the week. For a change of pace I decided to do the 'standard' loop around around Lincoln. I used to do this 'half-marathon' loop quite regularly, but not thought about it recently.

Made a nice change to do it today :-)

Weather was perfect to... warm, bright, sunny, blue skies... lovely!

In other news, yesterday I finally entered a race I've been on the fence about doing. It takes place in September, and for the last 4 years I have been buy on the corresponding race weekend helping my partner travel to university. She will graduate in 2 months time, so I am now finally available to enter.

The race is Equinox24. Held in the grounds of Belvoir Castle near Grantham, Lincs there is a course comprising of a 10km loop, and essentially individuals or teams have 24 hours to do as many loops as they can. It is billed as an 'easy' introduction to ultrarunning, as the loop is small, you will always be surrounded by other runners regardless of what lap number you are on, and there is base camp at the start/finish of each loop for drinks/snack/naps as needed.

I've been thinking about it on and on for the past 3 months as I'm not sure on logistics, but a couple of people I spoke to last week convinced me to just get it booked, and then I'll worry about all the other stuff later.

Will talk more about preparation and goals in future posts, but for now I'm pleased to note that I finally have a race to enter later this year.

Countdown started!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)
