Description from Strava: A mostly easy run out in the sunshine to tick off the 'long run' of the week. Would usually do these on a Saturday, but I've got into a nice routine of doing these on Sundays for now.

It does mean I've not got near parkrun for months, as Saturday has turned into a rest day, but nevermind

Todays route was a figure of eight, which involved 2 small loops, the first was round south Common and up Canwick hill, and the second took me round Branston and Washingborough, before finally heading down the bypass towards home.

The weather was reasonable, bright and sunny, but still feeling cold for the time of year. There were a few drops of rain on the final stretch home, but nothing to worry about.

Todays run was for just over 20km, which lead to a weekly total of 63km (the first time I've managed over 60km in a single week since February. Good to see I'm starting to be more consistent, and over the coming weeks I'll be looking to increase the long run as part of preparations for the race in September.

September seems ages away, but in reality, it is only 4 months (eek!)

Nice one. I did my long run today, but it was gentle as I did parkrun yesterday. I would like to increase the distance and I probably could at that pace. It just takes up most of the morning. Not that I generally have too much to do on a Sunday.
