dannewton just finished a 9.25km run, that lasted for 57 minutes.
This run helped dannewton burn 745.0 calories.

Description from Strava: So after the casual 20 miles at the weekend (which was my longest ever run), I took steps to ease back and take it easy. I didn't take the day off or miss a session, because missing the session is the opposite of training consistently.

The long run was on Saturday. Sunday was a rest day which is normal. On Monday (as in yesterday) I went for a gentle ish recovery run. Nothing exciting, just out to the roundabout on the bypass and back for a comfortable 6km.

I could still feel stiff in the legs (mostly in the quads) but it just felt tired as opposed to painful. I took it slow and easy and I think it definately helped, as when I woke up this morning all that tiredness had gone. In fact, when I finally finished work (working fom home today) I actually felt full of energy and eager to go.

It is amazing to think how quickly the body adapts if you are sensible with your training. Last year I ran 12 miles and could barely walk for 2 weeks. Last weekend I ran 20 miles, and I'm already back into regular training

Todays run was meant to go for approx 10km, but the end of the road features a big hill, and I decided to avoid that today. A slight detour resulted in 9km which is will do nicely. The weather was on the cool side again, but it's been so dry here recently that there is no moisture to create ice

Thats a good thing by the way... not a fan of ice!

There'll be a day off tomorrow, and a run on Thursday, and then I'll see what distance I fancy doing for the weekend

er... it won't be 20 miles I can assure you!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)
