Morning Walk - 5km (enjoying the sun before work)
dannewton just finished a 5.15km walk, that lasted for 73 minutes.
This walk helped dannewton burn 399.0 calories.
Description from Strava: Cor! It's flippin' lovely out there!
I'm working from home today, and I'm not just doing the expected 8 hours, I will also be doing 3-4 hours of overtime (to try to clear a backlog of work that has built up).
This means potentially being sat at my desk for 12 hours... and I really could do with fitting a walk in today. As there is no time later on, I made an effort to get up and get some fresh air.
and I'm so glad I did!
Beautiful out there in the sunshine, and surprisingly warm considering it was just 7am. I picked a random route around the village, and did a bit of PokémonGO at the same time. As I wandered around, I saw quite a few butterflies in the sunshine, including a Holly Blue as seen in the picture. So enjoyable in fact that I lost track of time, and had to rush back to stark work!
oops!
And now I'd better crack on with my work... 12 hours sounds a long time but it'll fly by if I'm busy, and putting on some decent (loud) music will definitely help!

About the Athlete: Living in the UK, I am an intermittent Runner, but always striving for more consistency. When I'm not training I can be found photographing insects or listening to really loud angry music (which is the best type of music obviously!)

That's a long day. You really need a break. You were lucky with the weather as it's gone very mixed again. The rain mostly held off today, but was heavy yesterday.
