Long Run - slow and steady

I just finished a 11.035km running that lasted about 1hh:10mm:30ss !

Well, as mentioned on my last post, its time for the long run of the week. I was aiming for 10k and was gonna just do the standard out-and-back route along the bypass. However, when I headed back into the village, I decided to do a quick loop round the estate instead of just heading straight home. This resulted in a total of 11km... this isn't much further to be fair, but I am looking to increase the distance of the long run, and just an extra 1km is a start I guess.

I'm going to be taking it slow to increase the distance, just to avoid any potential over training or over-use injuries. And just by increasing it by a small amount consistently it is amazing how quickly the distance increases...

The run itself was pleasant enough. It was forecast to be cold but dry which is fine (not cold enough to need to wear gloves this time). There was a random burst of rain halfway through which was not expected, but it only lasted a 5 minutes or so so not a major concern in the end.

Todays Running Playlist: Gojira - The Way Of All Flesh

Some more amazing progressive Death Metal, and this is probably my fave of all their releases, although the newest one Fortitude is pretty awesome too!

I did much the same. I like to do a long run on a Sunday when not much else is happening. Nice day for it here.

I'd have preferred to do it on a Saturday and take it easy on the sunday, but the weather was grim yesterday. Oh well, it all counts anyway whatever day it occurs on.

Hope your back is getting better :-)

My back is not too bad, but now my foot is playing up. I think I'll still be running this week.

Hi dear friend. Nice job, this kind of weather is rare in where I live, I like it. 😊👍

So good to see your activitie and on the whole the community of EXHAUST. I wanted to ask would you mind to guide me how to sign up or log in to the community. I have strava as well. I tried to login in exhaust website, but I couldn't know which password is needed or totally what to do. Is there any article or video for guiding? If so, may you please send the link for me? Thank you so much 🙏
