Manchester United and Chelsea FC Rivalry Continues
Over the years the game between Manchester United vs Chelsea FC games has always brought with it drama, rivalry and competition second to Liverpool/Manchester United rivalry.
Since Jose Mourinho and the oil magnate owner turned around the fortunes of Chelsea around they have always given one of England's most successful club in Manchester United a run for their money. Chelsea FC over the years have grown into a formidable side and with the coming of Thomas Tuchel, he has solidify the star studded team further.
As compared to a struggling Manchester United side after the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson. Manchester United have since then experimented with other coaches like the erratic Jose Mourinho but still they haven't gotten to that devastating level they desired.
Recently they had to part ways with their ex player turn manager, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer who despite all his efforts and backing from management and Sir Alex Ferguson couldn't turn the teams fortunes around. But it seems the good times is around the corner again with their signing of their recent manager Ralf Rangnick who did wonders with RB Leipzig and shalka 04. He his touted by managers and Ex players as the key to get Manchester United back. Though his contract with Man Utd is a short one and the rest of the period will be as a consultant.
So in this Super Sunday match of the weekend, I'm expecting a tight game though Chelsea is clearly the Favourite to take the day but because of the rivalry we can never rule out Manchester United.
The new Manager's effect might just have a great impact on the result of the game though Micheal Carrick who is the interim manager will be in charge of the game. Chelsea are at the summit of the league and wouldn't want to suffer a loss as Liverpool FC are in hot pursuit and trying to close the gap on them.
Both teams won their recent match over the week in the champions league and this has given us a preview of what to expect over tomorrow.
My prediction for the much awaited game will be a 2-1 win in favour of the blue side of London, Chelsea FC.
The best Manchester United can hope for in this match will be a draw, whether a goalless draw or score draw.
