The Devastating Partnership

I'm a soccer loving fan, a adherent follower of the English Premier League (EPL) and all my years of watching this beautiful game of sports, I can confidently say that rarely have I seen a striker partnership like the duo of Kane and Son.

Son who was bought from Bayern Leverkusen in 2015 never dreamt he will come to England to be specific Tottenham Hotspur to forge a deadly partnership force with a former Arsenal Academy player now a Tottenham Hotspur player, Harry Kane. Daniel Levy had cashed in on several players in time past like Luka Modric and Garrett Bale but this duo seems to be untouchable.

Over the years the world of football has seen magic produce by players who graced us with their skills on the field of play like Ronaldo Delima, the Late Maradona, Pele, Ortega, Baggio, Rivaldo, George Weah, Ronaldinho, etc but on few occasions they combine and forge a great partnership with their team mates. Some of the recent great partnership are as follows:

1. Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard

These great players over the cause of their playing careers at Chelsea was fantastic. They both played scintillating football under various managers but regardless of the different styles of play employed by these manager they continued to combine very well and ended up with a combined goal of 36.

1. Aguero and Silva

These players also forged a great partnership in their playing days for the light blue of Manchester city. They're both technically gifted players and hence did well under various football managers and also won many trophies as a result. Their dynamic partnership produced a combined goals of twenty nine (29) goals.

1. Henry and Pires

In the colours of Arsenal under Arsene Wenger who had a long illustrious managerial career, the duo combined to devastating effects leading to trophy laden years at the north London club. They both combined well to produce twenty nine (29) goals also.

Now the duo of son and Kane are shattering the record set by these above mentioned players. With eight games left for the 2021/2022 season to end they have racked up good numbers together. They have in a single season the most goals combined ever in the history of the English premier league.

So far their Partnership has superceded others in terms of goal contribution. Though they started the season poorly and have changed managers almost three times this season but they seem to have found their way back to form under their new manager who isn't new to winning, Antonio Conte. He has utilised this duo perfectly and even brought in some January transfer in the person of Kulusevski to hence their performance. They are currently fourth on the table.

Thus, Kane and Son's performance and goal contribution have been tremendous to say the least.

They have also succeeded in breaking the record of most goal/assist contribution held by Didier Drogba and Frank Lampard.

What more can I say. Long may this partnership last and may it yield them some trophies too.
