My Actifit Report Card: May 16 2022
This morning when I left my house at 04.20 hrs I spotted the eclipsed moon 🌒 low in the sky in the west. It was rather misty after rain so I was lucky to spot it!
It looked like a cresent shape so must have just passed maximum eclipse.
A lovely sight!
In the picture my colleague and I are about to rendezvous with this aircraft by the rear door. I will guide the truck up to within a foot or so of the aircraft and then we get into the back of the truck to raise it to door level. A platform extends the last part to the door. We then knock on the door! Looking through the porthole window. The crew will give permission to open the door when they are happy that it is safe. Doors are armed with emergency shutes so needs to be deactivated before opening the doors.
We usually open and close the doors but sometimes the crew will do it. We can then proceed to do our job of replacing the catering equipment on board.
All in a days work! I was on early shift today so it was nice to get home a bit earlier and relax. Last one tomorrow, then three days off.
