My Actifit Report Card: January 7 2024

My workload today was strikingly similar to yesterday. Yesterday, due to staff sickness, it was necessary for me to help out two drivers with their truckloads of catering. A similar thing happened today but not due to sickness but a truck breakdown! 😆

So, while drivers returned to base, I stayed airside to meet the next truck coming in!

It worked out well, but of course, it was tiring! I was knackered by lunch. Thankfully, it was my last day and three off! Hooray!

The weather started nice and sunny, albeit cold, but with a bright low sun, it can be a hazard while driving.

Another hazard in winter is the de-icing fluid everywhere on the ground and dripping from aircraft after being sprayed.
It can be slippery on the ground. A thick sticky gunge, which is horrible when it gets on your gloves after opening the aircraft doors! You can see it on the ground in todays photos.
