A Cloudy Start! : My Actifit Report Card: June 11 2025
I looked out of the window this morning to see an overcast scene. I knew that this would change by the afternoon, so I prepared for another ride to St. Leonards forest.
Passing a group of canada geese resting near the Ifield Mill Pond. I took a route out this time that I very often use to return by. It was dull and dark under the trees with some soft patches after rain.
I finally reached the lowest point of the ride where I had to cross a stream. You can see the bedrock here at the crossing point.
There is even a signpost here marking the footpath crossing! At this point, I noticed something that would transform the ride for the return leg. Sunshine was filtering through the forest canopy.
I was looking forward to emerging from the forest to enjoy the ride back home in the sunshine. I was not disappointed! 😆
It was gorgeous out there! I carried on back into Buchan Park where I took my main picture. This is a popular place for people with dogs, so its easy as you go!
Until next time!

Wow look at that group of geese. So nice! Do they run off when there are humans around? So good to see the sun eventually came out. It would not be much fun biking in the rain I imagine. Looks great that you have a lot of biking and hiking trails there. I sometimes wish I could go biking too. 😆
An advance happy weekend...

The canada geese are remarkably tame. People feed them and they will approach you with anticipation of being fed. The adults can be aggressive if you get too close to the goslings which is to be expected. Although, if you are careful staying low and quiet, 🤫 you can get really close for photos.
