Actifit RC: 8th June 2025 - Never make a blackbird angry

In the early hours of the morning we came to find our blackbird that has come to feed in the lawn of the second garden but is not so inclined to be photographed and it is really a feat to even manage to zoom its silhouette.

Today the wild cat really made him angry and at one point I witnessed a particular scene with the cat running away and the blackbird chasing him around the villa.

After that and not being able to catch the cat was for almost a quarter of an hour to scream between the trees noisily enough to break the eardrums.

The scene was almost surreal because I have always seen cats hunting birds but a cat running away because it was afraid of a blackbird is the first time that happens to me to see it and still do not believe in my eyes.

Yet the blackbird is not a ferocious-looking bird but it is absolutely of medium small size and right sympathy its particular orange beak that stands out on the black plumage.

Meanwhile the bougainvillae in the villa has produced a significant amount of flowers as it had never done before sign that the spring season was favorable to vegetation being there were mild temperatures and abundant rains.

Capers are also in full bloom and this magnificent specimen of freshly bloomed flower is ready to provide abundant pollen for hungry insects eager to have breakfast.

This magnificent orange rose also provides succulent food for the larger insects and it is really difficult to photograph such a healthy flower as it is usually devastated by large beetles that proliferate undisturbed in this corner of paradise.

And as all the good things this weekend comes to an end while my greetings go to the extraordinary blockchain pioneers of Hive who came to visit me between the lines of this report Actifit on Sunday at the beach.

Mai fare arrabbiare un merlo

Nelle prime ore della mattinata ci è venuto a trovare il nostro merlo che si è venuto a rifocillare nel prato del secondo giardino ma non è tanto propenso a farsi fotografare ed è veramente un'impresa riuscire a addirittura a zoomare la sua sagoma.

Oggi il gatto selvatico lo ha fatto veramente arrabbiare e ad un certo punto ho assistito ad una scena particolare con il gatto che scappava ed il merlo che lo rincorreva per tutta la villa.

Dopo di ciò e non essere riuscito ad acchiappare il gatto è stato per quasi un quarto d'ora ad urlare tra gli alberi fragorosamente tanto da rompere i timpano delle orecchie.

La scena è stata quasi surreale perché io ho sempre visto gatti che cacciavano gli uccelli ma che un gatto scappasse perché avesse paura di un merlo è la prima volta che mi succede di vederlo e non credo ancora ai miei occhi.

Eppure il merlo non è un uccello dall'aspetto feroce anzi è assolutamente di taglia medio piccola e destra simpatia il suo particolare becco arancione che spicca sul piumaggio nero.

Nel frattempo la bougainvillae nella villa ha prodotto davvero una quantità significativa di fiori come mai lo aveva fatto prima segno che la stagione primaverile è stata favorevole alla vegetazione essendoci state temperature miti e piogge abbondantissime.

Anche i capperi sono nel pieno della fioritura e questo magnifico esemplare di fiore appena sbocciato è pronto a fornire abbondante polline per gli insetti affamati desiderosi di fare colazione.

Anche questo magnifico esemplare di rosa arancione fornisce un succulento cibo per gli insetti più grandi ed è davvero difficile fotografare un fiore così sano poiché di solito viene devastato da grossi coleotteri che proliferano indisturbati in questo angolo di paradiso.

E come tutte le cose belle questo weekend volge al termine mentre i miei saluti vanno agli straordinari pionieri della blockchain di Hive che sono venuti a trovarmi tra le righe di questo report Actifit di domenica al mare.
