Actifit: Aug 9th 2025 - Summer caught fire again.

It's 7:00 in the morning, here on the highway overpass that laps, on the outskirts, the city of Naples and the lights of dawn have completely illuminated the hill that carries the Certosa di San Martino which can be seen there at the end of the panorama that can be admired from this point of the city.

Naples these days is completely shrouded in smoke from an apocalyptic fire that broke out on the slopes of Vesuvius on the side overlooking Boscotrecase beyond what we can see from this other point located on the other overpass, that of the Circumvesuviana, a railway line that connects the municipalities around Vesuvius to Naples.

But now there is no time to observe the smoke invading the Neapolitan sky and here I am, after having already taken two public transports, about to take the third, here at the polyclinic which is in the area where the health district of the city, located on one of the many hills of Naples, namely the Colli Aminei.

This side of the city has been spared from the smoke and from here you can admire all the splendor of the serene provided by this summer which, suddenly, was decidedly reinvigorated.

It's the eve of my son Gaetano's birthday who turns 13 on August 10th and is moving faster and faster to becoming a man but now he's just a boy and has asked to be taken to McDonald's to celebrate his birthday together.

We reached the structure passing through a road through the countryside among the trees and dense vegetation that had almost completely covered the pavement, almost reaching the road surface.

We had to pay attention because there was someone who had their eyes on my son's packet of chips but the character was really disciplined and able to resist the temptation to reach out.

It was a fantastic day and we almost forgot that it was one of the hottest days of the year and I only realized it when I took the photo where I was visibly sweaty and exhausted from the long journey under the sun.

Returning to Naples we were witnessing an unusual phenomenon, the city was not illuminated during the day as usual but it seemed that instead of the sun there was a red star due to the smoke present in the sky coming from the devastating fire of Vesuvius.

Unfortunately we have reached almost 6 days of battle against the flames by the firefighters and who are now also assisted by the army and while Vesuvius burns I greet all the extraordinary pioneers of the Hive blockchain who have fallen between the lines of this Actifit report of Saturday 9 August 2025.

L'estate ha preso di nuovo fuoco.

Sono le 7:00 del mattino, qui sul cavalcavia dell'autostrada che lambisce, in periferia, la città di Napoli e le luci dell'alba hanno completamente illuminato il colle che porta in grembo La Certosa di San Martino che si vede lì in fondo al panorama che si può ammirare da questo punto della città.

Napoli in questi giorni è completamente avvolta nel fumo di un apocalittico incendio scoppiato alle pendici del Vesuvio sul versante che affaccia su Boscotrecase al di là di quello che possiamo vedere da questo altro punto situato sull'altro cavalcavia, quello della Circumvesuviana, linea ferroviaria che collega i comuni intorno al Vesuvio a Napoli.

Ma adesso non c'è tempo per osservare il fumo che invade il cielo partenopeo e qui sono, dopo aver già preso due mezzi pubblici, in procinto di prendere il terzo, qui al policlinico che è nella zona dove c'è il distretto sanitario della città, situato su una delle tante colline di Napoli ovvero i Colli Aminei.

Questo versante della città è stato risparmiato dal fumo e da qui si può ammirare tutto lo splendore del sereno fornito da questa estate che, all'improvviso, si è decisamente rinvigorita.

È la vigilia del compleanno di mio figlio Gaetano che il 10 agosto compie 13 anni e si avvia sempre più velocemente a diventare un uomo ma adesso è appena un ragazzo e ha chiesto di essere portato al McDonald's per festeggiare insieme il suo compleanno.

Abbiamo raggiunto la struttura passando per una strada attraverso la campagna in mezzo agli alberi e ad una fitta vegetazione che aveva quasi completamente ricoperto il marciapiede arrivando quasi al manto stradale.

Abbiamo dovuto prestare attenzione poiché c'era qualcuno che aveva messo gli occhi addosso alla pacchetto di patatine di mio figlio ma il personaggio è stato davvero disciplinato e ha saputo resistere alla tentazione di allungare la mano.

È stata una fantastica giornata e quasi abbiamo dimenticato che era uno dei giorni più caldi dell'anno e me ne sono reso conto solo quando ho scattato la foto in cui ero visibilmente sudato e provato dal lungo viaggio sotto al sole.

Ritornato a Napoli si stava assistendo ad un insolito fenomeno, la città di giorno non era illuminata come di solito ma sembrava che al posto del sole ci fosse una stella rossa effetto dovuto al fumo presente in cielo proveniente dal devastante incendio del Vesuvio.

Purtroppo siamo arrivati a quasi 6 giorni di battaglia contro le fiamme da parte dei vigili del fuoco e che ormai sono coadiuvati anche dall'esercito e mentre il Vesuvio brucia saluto tutti gli straordinari pionieri della blockchain di Hive capitati tra le righe di questo Actifit report di sabato 9 agosto 2025.
