Hola, amigos. En esta ocasión, quiero hablarles sobre una parte de mi vida espiritual. Soy católico y recientemente asistí a misa para acompañar a mi cuñada, que conmemoraba la partida física de su madre en el tercer aniversario de su muerte. Desde mi adolescencia, he entendido que las misas se celebran por los difuntos en el aniversario de su muerte. Así que estas misas son una tradición cristiana que busca interceder por las almas de los fieles difuntos. El rito de la misa se tiene por el acto religioso más alto y representa el sacrificio que realizó Cristo en la cruz. Como implica la entrega de la sangre y el cuerpo de Jesús al Padre, su valor es infinito.

Así que esta vez mi esposo y mis hermanas me acompañaron. Mi cuñada ya estaba allí, en la iglesia. Nos sentamos inmediatamente para escuchar la palabra sagrada en la misa. Durante la misa, el sacerdote ofrece que las almas de los fieles difuntos descansen en paz y, en ese momento, menciona a todos los que están inscritos para ese día; de esta manera, está haciendo una ofrenda específica en nombre de esa intención.

Cuando asistimos a misa con esta intención, participamos en la oración común de la Iglesia, ya que la misa es un acto de fe y devoción; es un signo de caridad y veneración. Cada vez que se celebra una misa de este tipo, debemos acudir con nuestros amigos o familiares para hacerles saber que estamos con ellos y que los acompañamos en un día tan significativo para ellos. Sinceramente, desde que perdí a mi hijo, comprendo estas cosas que a veces no apreciaba debidamente. Pero ahora que lo estoy viviendo, sé cuál es el propósito de celebrar estas misas en honor a los difuntos y estar a su lado en este momento tan significativo.

Hello, friends. On this occasion, I want to talk to you about a part of my spiritual life. I am Catholic, and I recently attended Mass to accompany my sister-in-law, who was commemorating the physical departure of her mother on the third anniversary of her death. Since my adolescence, I have understood that Masses are celebrated for the deceased on the anniversary of their death. So these Masses are a Christian tradition that seeks to intercede for the souls of the faithful departed. The rite of Mass is considered the highest religious act and represents the sacrifice that Christ made on the cross. As it involves the surrender of Jesus' blood and body to the Father, its value is infinite.

So this time my husband and sisters accompanied me. My sister-in-law was already there, in the church. We sat down immediately to listen to the sacred word at Mass. During Mass, the priest offers that the souls of the faithful departed rest in peace, and at that moment, he mentions everyone who is registered for that day; in this way, he is making a specific offering on behalf of that intention.

When we attend Mass with this intention, we participate in the common prayer of the Church, since Mass is an act of faith and devotion; it is a sign of charity and veneration. Every time a Mass of this kind is celebrated, we should attend with our friends or family members to let them know that we are with them and that we accompany them on such a significant day for them. Honestly, since I lost my son, I understand these things that I sometimes did not properly appreciate. But now that I am experiencing it, I know the purpose of celebrating these Masses in honor of the deceased and being by their side at this very significant moment.
