El Liverpool actualmente no solo está teniendo un rendimiento casi perfecto en la Liga de Campeones, sino que en su liga nacional, también tiene muchas posibilidades de convertirse en campeón, porque está a solo 1 punto del Manchester City, lo que es una ventaja muy pequeña porque el City puede perder en cualquier partido. Liverpool plays a very high-paced football, making great use of both their left-back, Robertson, and right-back, Arnold. When it comes to Villarreal, their performance in the Champions League was absolutely historic, no one expected to see them reaching the semifinals, much less beating Bayern Munich in a double match draw as they did in the quarter-finals. I am sure both the people working in the club and its fans are more than happy with what Villarreal accomplished this season.
In their national league, their performance could have been better because if they don't improve their current position, they could be out of all European competition next season. They need at least position 6 to qualify for the Conference League via their national league, however, since Real Betis won the Copa del Rey which allows them to participate in the Europa League next season, and since Betis is also currently qualified for Europa League if they keep their fifth position in the national league, this could allow Villarreal to play on the Conference League even if they finish the national league in the seventh position. And participating in the Conference League can be considered "all right" for Villarreal, it is not a failure for them because at least they are participating in a European competition.
Before this semifinal started, I was expecting to see Liverpool completely dominating just like they did in the first match. It made all the sense in the world for them to play exactly the same, since it was clear Villarreal couldn't keep up with their pace and it was, therefore, impossible for them to stop Liverpool. I was expecting another victory for Liverpool with a minimum of 2 goal advantage.
How was the match?
Villarreal had a very daring attitude and was attacking without any fear whatsoever since the very beginning of the match. They had the best attitude they could have given the circumstances, and I was happy because it meant the match could be more entertaining than what I was expecting.

Esto fue absolutamente una locura porque lo que parecía imposible ahora era una realidad, el Villarreal logró neutralizar la ventaja de 2 goles del Liverpool del partido anterior, y ahora estábamos de vuelta en primera base como quien dice..
Quedaban 45 minutos por jugar, sin tener en cuenta una posible prórroga, y todo por decidir. Honestamente, esperaba que este fuera un partido un poco aburrido con el Liverpool jugando completamente cómodo, pero el Villarreal logró hacer de esta una semifinal súper emocionante, donde un resultado histórico era algo que podría convertirse en una realidad si el Villarreal continuaba jugando así.
Las cosas no pintaban bien para el Liverpool cuando comenzó la segunda mitad, Klopp decidió enviar a Luis Díaz al terreno de juego a cambio de Jota que no tuvo una buena actuación. Los jugadores de ataque del Liverpool eran ahora los mismos que en su partido anterior contra el Villarreal y pensé que Klopp tenía pocas o ninguna solución, excepto esta única sustitución.
Sin embargo, parecía que la charla de Klopp en el descanso tenía algún efecto positivo en su equipo porque empezaron a jugar un poco mejor, y quién sabe, quizás la presencia de Díaz también ayudó porque era un jugador muy participativo que constantemente causaba peligro desde su costado izquierdo.

They took Liverpool's defenders by surprise, and I am sure no one was expecting Villarreal to play so daring and also to score a goal so early into the match. This made the remaining time much more entertaining because now it didn't seem impossible for Villarreal to tie this semifinal, they only needed 1 more goal and Liverpool was a bit shocked about the current result, even though they were still on the lead.
Villarreal had the emotional momentum in their favor thanks to their goal, and for the first 45 minutes they even played better than Liverpool. I wondered if they could keep up with this pace for 90 minutes, my guess was that at some moment they would have to reduce their intensity, but my hope was to see them playing like this for the rest of the match with no stop.
However, the match gradually began to lose its intensity once they passed the 30 minute mark, and Liverpool started to recover its confidence, they weren't overwhelmed like in the first minutes of the match, and were now constantly approaching Villarreal's area on a constant basis. The match went from being dominated by Villarreal, to a now even match with both teams playing on an equal level. Villarreal's total dominance lasted between 15 and 20 minutes. After that, they continue to play well but Liverpool became more active creating their own attacking plays as well.
Around the 40 minute mark, Villarreal surprisingly scored their second goal with a very simply and yet effective play that began with Pau Torres doing a perfect long pass to Capoue, who then managed to find the space and sent a cross into the area where Coquelin beat Arnold in the header and sent the ball inside the net. This was absolutely crazy because what appeared to be impossible was now a reality, Villarreal managed to neutralize Liverpool's 2 goal advantage from the previous match, and we were now back at square 1.
There were 45 minutes left to play, without taking into account a possible extra time, and everything to be decided. I was honestly expecting this to be a bit of a boring match with Liverpool playing completely comfortable, but Villarreal managed to make this a super exciting semifinal, where an historic result was something that could become a reality if Villarreal continued to play like that.
Things weren't looking good for Liverpool when the second half started, Klopp decided to sent Luis Díaz to the pitch in exchange for Jota who didn't have a good performance. Liverpool's attacking players were now the same as in their previous match against Villarreal and I thought Klopp had little to no solutions except for this single substitution.
It seemed like Klopp's talk in the half time had some positive effect in his team because they started to play a bit better, and who knows, maybe the presence of Diaz also helped because he was a very participative player constantly causing danger from his left side.
Around the 61 minute mark, Liverpool was able to score their first goal of the match thanks to Fabinho who received a pass from Salah and made a strong shot from inside the area which luckily for him, ended up inside the net.
Tanto es así, que en el minuto 67, el Liverpool pudo anotar su segundo gol con un cabezazo decente de Díaz después de recibir un buen pase cruzado de Arnold. Este gol confirmó a Díaz como un importante factor de cambio que permitió al Liverpool volver a ser el equipo dominante.
Este gol también fue devastador para el Villarreal, después de todo su esfuerzo en la primera mitad, dominando al Liverpool y neutralizando su ventaja de 2 goles, todo cambió para ellos y volvió a estar como estaba en el inicio del partido. Apenas 7 minutos después del gol de Díaz, llegó el gol de Mané. Esta jugada estuvo condicionada por un horrible error de Rulli, portero del Villarreal, que dejó toda su red vacía en un intento de evitar que Mané controlara un pase largo de Keita pero Mané fue más rápido y logró marcar no sin antes evitar a Foyth que también intentó detenerlo mientras corría pero falló.
Fue una locura ver al Liverpool recuperar el control tan rápido, y aún más sorprendente fue verlos marcar gol tras gol como si esto fuera algo fácil de hacer.
Este gol fue mortal para el Villarreal, ahora tenía una desventaja de 3 goles, y con el Liverpool recuperando toda su confianza, no parecía probable que el Villarreal dominara a su rival como lo hizo en la primera mitad.
En los últimos minutos, incluso el Liverpool estuvo más cerca de marcar su cuarto gol que el Villarreal de anotar su tercero. La segunda mitad del Liverpool fue perfecta para ellos, y fue muy similar a lo que sucedió en el primer partido con el Villarreal siendo incapaz de hacer mucho daño al Liverpool e incapaz de detener sus ataques.

No olvidemos que marcaron 7 goles en su primer partido en Manchester, y ahora el Real Madrid seguramente dará todo lo que tiene para superar su desventaja de 1 gol.
El Manchester City, por su parte, está intentando jugar su segunda final consecutiva de la Liga de Campeones, la temporada pasada jugaron y perdieron la final contra el Chelsea y seguramente quieren volver a intentarlo. Es difícil decir qué equipo es el favorito entre estos 2, y actualmente estoy pensando que este partido está 50-50.
So much so, that in the 67 minute mark, Liverpool was able to score their second goal with a decent header from Diaz after he received a good cross from Arnold. This goal confirmed Diaz as an important factor of change that allowed Liverpool to become the dominant team one again.
This goal was devastating for Villarreal, after all of their effort in the first half, dominating Liverpool and neutralizing their 2 goal advantage, everything changed for them and went back as it was in the beginning of the match. In 6 minutes, from the 61 to the 67 minute mark, Villarreal's hard work from the first half was totally wasted.
Just 7 minutes after Diaz's goal, came Mane's goal. This play was conditioned by a horrible mistake from Rulli, Villarreal's goalkeeper, who left his net all empty in an attempt to stop Mane from controlling a long pass from Keita but Mane was faster and managed to score not before avoiding Foyth who also tried to stop him but failed.
It was crazy to see Liverpool gaining back control so quickly, and even more surprising was to see them scoring goal after goal as if this was an easy thing to do.
This goal was deadly to Villarreal, they now had a 3 goal disadvantage, and with Liverpool recovering all of their confidence it didn't seem likely for Villarreal to dominate their rival like they did in the first half.
In the last few minutes even Liverpool was closer to score their fourth goal than Villarreal scoring their third one. Liverpool's second half was perfect for them, and it was very similar to what happened in the first match with Villarreal being unable to do much damage to Liverpool and unable to stop their attacks.
In the end, Liverpool's global 3 goal advantage was a fair result, they dominated three 45 minutes segments out of 4, and I believe that even a 4 goals advantage could have been even fairer. Villarreal had a worthy performance and its players should be very proud for what they did.
What's next?
Now that we have the first finalist, we will have to wait until tomorrow to know the second one. The match between Real Madrid and Manchester City will probably be even more exciting and intense than today's match. Let's not forget they scored 7 goals in their first match in Manchester, and now Real Madrid will surely give everything they have to overcome their 1-goal disadvantage.
Manchester City, on the other hand, is attempting to play their second Champions League final in a row, last season they played and lost the final against Chelsea and they surely want to try it again. It is difficult to say which team is the favorite one between these 2, and I am currently thinking this match is 50-50.

Buena publicación amigo la verdad que si...con reseña al final y todo... El Liverpool esta a otro nivel, me dio mas la impresión de que en el primer tiempo solo salieron relajados pero al ver que se les podía comprometer la eliminatoria han salido a por todas en la segunda mitad a asegurar su pase a la gran final, saludos!
Quizás si salieron relajados y quizás también el Villarreal fue físicamente incapaz de mantener ese ritmo y de allí el bajón que tuvieron en el segundo tiempo. Al final el Liverpool es merecido finalista.

El ritmo del natural de juego de los Reds se hizo presente en la segunda parte del juego en "La Cerámica", el Heavy metal surtió efecto con la entrada de Lucho que revolucionó el ataque por la izquierda, brindó frescura a los de Klopp que terminaron por hacerse de una incontestable victoria.
Por un momento pensé que la remontada era posible, pero no duró mucho. El Liverpool fue capaz de reaccionar s tiempo y rápido. Lucho cambio al equipo sin duda. Vaya perla tiene el Liverpool con ese jugador.
En efecto, hermano. Y también llegué a engancharme con la primera parte del Villarreal, pero el Liverpool fue una tormenta de futbol en la segunda mitad. Grandísimos contendientes para pelear lo que sea.
Cuando ví creo por el minuto 49, el 2 a 0 a favor de Villarreal, me impresioné y por un momento pensé en una remontada del Liverpool, entonces lo dejé de ver y justamente fue lo que sucedió. De igual forma un solo gol del Liverpool, aun así le daría el pase.
El Liverpool puso todo en su sitio en la segunda mitad, pero esos primeros 45 minutos del Villarreal quedaron para el recuerdo.
Solo ví el segundo tiempo y lo hice porque el Liverpool estaba 2-0 abajo, pero después de ver por un rato era evidente que anotarían, el Villareal no tuvo iniciativa en la segunda mitad y los goles vinieron uno tras otro sin respuesta alguna del submarino.
Así fue, parece que en la segunda mitad al Villarreal se le hubiera agotado la gasolina. Una de mis dudas en el primer tiempo era si podían mantener ese ritmo durante todo el partido, y quedo demostrado que no es así.
