Benzema ya es un jugador histórico, pero está a punto de poner su nombre incluso en un lugar histórico más alto. Desde que Raúl dejó el Real Madrid como el máximo goleador de la historia del Real Madrid, no creo que mucha gente hubiera pensado que iba a ser superado no por un compañero, ¡sino por 2 de ellos!
Las posibilidades de que CR7 superara a Raúl eran pequeñas, pero no era algo impensable, especialmente cuando CR7 comenzó a aumentar el número de goles que marcaba por año. ¿Pero Benzema? No creo que a nadie se le hubiera ocurrido que Benzema superara a Raúl a nivel histórico.

Además de Benzema, tenemos a Marcelo, que muy probablemente dejará el club este verano, también tenemos a Modric que, al igual que Benzema, probablemente dejará el club en solo un par de años. He estado apoyando a Benzema para que siga marcando para que pueda superar a Raúl esta temporada, antes de que comenzara este partido estaba a solo 1 gol de Raúl, 322 para Benzema y 322 para Raúl. The chances of CR7 surpassing Raul were small but it wasn't something unthinkable, especially as CR7 began to increase the number of goals he scored per year. But Benzema? I don't think anyone would have thought about Benzema surpassing Raul on a historic level.
Real Madrid currently has a generation of historic veterans who are giving their best to finish their stay at Real Madrid in the best possible way. Besides Benzema, we have Marcelo, who will most likely leave the club this summer, we also have Modric who like Benzema will probably leave the club in just a couple of years. And there are also other veterans like Casemiro, Kroos, or Carvajal who still have a few more years left hopefully.
I have been rooting for Benzema to continue to score so he can surpass Raul this season, before this match started he was only 1 goal behind Raul, 322 for Benzema, and 322 for Raul. I believe this is one of the reasons Real Madrid needs to continue to provide a competitive performance even though their remaining league matches are all irrelevant to the squad.
It would be nice to see Benzema surpassing Raul, and it would also be nice to see Courtois winning the Zamora individual trophy, which is given to the best goalkeeper of LaLiga. Plus, it is better for the team to not lose competitive tension before the Champions League final on May 28.
The smartest thing Ancelotti could do is to continue rotating but also give enough minutes to the main players so they don't feel like they are on a vacation.
How was the match?
A lot of the players who are usually in the lineup returned once again, such as Benzema, Vinicius, and Courtois. In fact, with the exception of Vallejo, all of Madrid's players present in the lineup are players who have accumulated a lot of minutes throughout the season and isn't surprising to see them playing a match from the beginning.
It was clear from the beginning that Levante has no chance to win any points in this match. Real Madrid wasn't even playing very intensively and they were able to reach Levante's area with ease. Benzema could have scored in the early minutes of the match but he was a little bit slow and the opportunity was missed thanks to a good save by Levante's goalkeeper.

I believe Levante's goalkeeper, Cardenas, should have done a better job because the ball entered close to the post he was supposed to be covering. It wasn't a crossed shot but a straight one.
Immediately after the goal, Real Madrid had a couple of more chances that could have been scored but there was no luck for Madrid players, until the 19-minute mark when Benzema scored a historic goal. It was a header that was possible thanks to an amazing cross by Vinicius, and with this goal, Benzema now has the same number of goals scored for Real Madrid as Raúl. Absolutely crazy and now I was waiting for his next goal that would allow him to surpass Raul.
Real Madrid continued to dominate, leaving chance to Levante to even do a dangerous attack. They weren't even playing giving their best but it was still enough to completely overwhelm Levante.
At the 34-minute mark, the third goal was scored by Rodrygo after he received a great pass from Modric that passed centimeters in front of the goalkeeper, and once it reached Rodrygo it immediately went inside.
It was clear that if Madrid wanted to score more goals, they could easily do it without putting much effort. This was the first match I have watched in a long time where it really felt like some type of training for the bigger team.
10 minutes after Rodrygo's goal came Vinicius's one and once again the assistance was made by Modric in what was his third assistance in this match. They did a nice combination on their left side that allowed Vinicius to receive the ball with about 1 meter of distance from the closest defender, and he had enough time to make a proper definition once he has to face the goalkeeper. It was a very decent goal, and Madrid's total dominance seemed unstoppable.
I was expecting to see several substitutions during halftime, but the team was playing so well that maybe Ancelotti wanted to leave them on the pitch for a few more minutes.

El Liverpool, por otro lado, ya ganó la Copa de la Liga, pero estoy seguro de que quieren mucho más y actualmente están vivos en sus 3 competiciones restantes, la Premier League, la FA Cup que acabo de mencionar y la Liga de Campeones. El rendimiento del Liverpool esta temporada ha sido una locura y estoy seguro de que este partido contra el Chelsea será intenso.
Real Madrid's party got even better in the 68 minute mark when the fifth goal was scored. The play began with Vinicius recovering the ball near the midfield line, and then Modric filtered a beautiful pass to Benzema that allowed him to have a face to face against the goalkeeper, he dribbled him and then made a simple pass to Vinicius so he could score in front of the empty net.
Everyone was happy at Real Madrid, and I am sure there were players on the bench excited to go into the pitch to see if they could score too, but up to that moment, the only substitution on Madrid's side was Rodrygo for Mariano. It wasn't until the 73 minute mark when Ancelotti did 3 substitutions at the same time, in which he sent Benzema, Modric and Valverde to the bench, in exchange for Kroos, Jovic and Peter, who is a young player from Real Madrid's inferior divisions.
Even after those substitutions Real Madrid's dominance remained the same. Since the match was already decided I began to wonder why was Vinicius still playing instead of resting? I understand he is a very young and energetic players but some precautions, especially when waiting for the Champions League final, should be wise right?
I started to think that Vinicius might have requested the coach for more time to see if he could score a hat trick, but he managed to score his third goal around the 83 minute mark and he still remained in the pitch until the very end.
This goal, by the way, was the result of a pass from Jovic to Vinicius, who used his speed to outrun the defender, and then made a shot with his left foot when he was about to lose his shooting angle. The shot could have been stopped because the ball went through very close to the goalkeeper's leg, but I guess luck was in favor of Vinicius in this particular play.
The match ended 6-0 but it could have easily ended 10-0 or even 12-0. There was only 1 team on the pitch, and Levante was 100% outplayed this time. This was the easiest match for Real Madrid in a very long time.
What's next?
This Saturday I plan to watch the exciting match between Chelsea vs Liverpool for the FA Cup final. Chelsea hasn't won anything this season and this is their last chance of winning a trophy. Liverpool, on the other hand, already won the League Cup, but I am sure they want much more and they are currently alive in their 3 remaining competitions, the Premier League, the FA Cup I just mentioned, and the Champions League. Liverpool's performance this season has been crazy and I am sure this match against Chelsea will be intense.

Its a terrorist act on American soil while some say its not real or Im a mental case. Many know its real. This is an ignored detrimental to humanity domestic and foreign threat. Ask informed soldiers in the American military what their oath is and tell them about the day you asked me why. Nobody has I guess. Excelente por Benzema, es sin duda un gran premio individual a toda su tremenda carrera. Prácticamente se inmortaliza en uno de los clubes más grandes del mundo.
Me imagino lo contento que debe estar por está hazaña.
Igualar a un histórico es algo con lo que muchos jugadores sueñan pero casi ninguno logra, Benzema ha demostrado de lo que está hecho, y ya se ganó su lugar en la historia. Esperemos que pueda continuar así por mucho tiempo.
No pude ver este partido, pero sobresale que han goleado y que sus ánimos suben para enfrentar al poderoso Liverpool en la final de la Champions y eso, mentalmente es importante para los jugadores.
Recuerdo a Raúl en el Real Madrid, sin embargo, ya estaba en el ocaso de su carrera y era todo un símbolo de historia del equipo merengue, todavía lo es, solo que otros jugadores le han superado y eso es agradable ya que los récords están hechos para romperse.
Quizás Vini si se queda en el equipo merengue y explota todo su potencial podría ser de esos jugadores históricos a tener en cuenta, solo el tiempo lo dirá.

Opino igual, estos partidos ayudan en lo psicológico, y mantienen el equipo con buen tono competitivo. Aunque no me gusto mucho que Vinicius jugara todo el partido a pesar de que hizo hat trick. Pero bueno, igual Ancelotti y Pintus saben mucho más que uno 😅
Los records están para romperse, yo admito que nunca pensé que Benzema pudiera superar a Raúl, pero estoy muy feliz por él.
Yo creo que Vinicius puede ser histórico, y me emociona pensar en un posible tridente con él, Mbappe, y Rodrygo. Creo que podrían ser de los mejores del mundo juntos.

Igual me ví el partido, tenía ya rato sin ver al Real Madrid desde la semi de Champions. Se me escapó ese dato de Benzema, igualando a Raúl. Impensable como dices que el francés logré igualar e posiblemente incluso supera al histórico blanco.
Yo llevo tiempo esperando a que pueda superar a Rául, antes de sus goles en la Champions no tenía claro que pudiera superarlo esta temporada, creía que era algo que iba a pasar en la siguiente. Pero ya que están empatados, y faltandole al Madrid 2 partidos de Liga y la final de la Champions, yo creo que Benzema puede superarlo esta temporada. Ojalá que sí.
En la previa, juraba que el Levante tendría un mejor partido, tomando en cuenta lo que tenía en disputa, pero el Madrid les pasó por encima de una manera muy sobrada, con lo que me quedo de este partido es la elegancia de Ancelotti en rueda de prensa post-partido en el que antes de responder a la primera pregunta, lamenta lo del descenso del Levante y expresa apoyo para que vuelvan pronto a primera, muy respetable el mister, uno de los entrenadores que más admiro en el fútbol, gran artículo compañero, bendecido día para ti.
