El Real Madrid lleva bastante tiempo en la primera posición de la Liga y la Real Sociedad lucha actualmente por meterse en los puestos de la Champions. El Sevilla, que es el equipo en la posición número 2, tuvo un empate en su último partido, por lo que esta era una oportunidad para que el Real Madrid aumentara su ventaja y se consolidara aún más como el equipo líder.
La Real Sociedad, por su parte, se veía obligada a ganar este partido si quería mantener altas posibilidades de participar en competiciones europeas la próxima temporada, especialmente en la Champions League.
Esperaba un partido muy competitivo y parejo con ambos equipos brindando un fútbol de alta calidad.
¿Cómo estuvo el partido?
El Real Madrid fue, como era de esperar, el equipo que inicialmente se hizo con la posesión del balón y el que creó la primera jugada de ataque. Fue con Rodrygo haciendo un buen regate por banda derecha y luego pasándole el balón a Benzema pero cuando éste lo centró de vuelta al área, el balón se le fue demasiado alto y Vinicius no pudo llegar.
Parecía que el Real Madrid era el equipo más cómodo en el campo, sin embargo, alrededor del minuto 8, la Real Sociedad atacaba por el lado izquierdo. Consiguieron meterse en el área, y en unos pases Carvajal, lateral derecho del Real Madrid, cometió una falta y el árbitro señaló penalti válido.
Fue una falta tonta de Carvajal, pero ha quedado claro que el lado defensivo no es su mejor faceta. Oyarzabal fue el jugador responsable del penalti y lo mandó adentro con un buen remate.
Ahora, la Real Sociedad iba en cabeza, y el Real Madrid se veía obligado a atacar al máximo para intentar empatar este partido.
Real Madrid has been in the first position of the league for quite a while and Real Sociedad is currently struggling to get inside the Champions League positions. Sevilla, which is the team in position number 2, had a tie in their last match, so this was an opportunity for Real Madrid to increase their advantage and consolidate themselves even more as the leading team.
Real Sociedad, on the other hand, was forced to win this match if they wanted to keep high chances of participating in European competitions next season, especially the Champions League.
I was expecting a very competitive and even match with both teams providing high-quality football.
How was the match?
Real Madrid was, as expected, the team that initially took possession of the ball and the one to create the first attacking play. It was with Rodrygo making good dribbling on the right side and then passing the ball to Benzema but when he crossed it back into the area, the ball went too high, and Vinicius couldn't get to it.
It seemed like Real Madrid was the most comfortable team on the pitch, however, around the 8-minute mark, Real Sociedad was attacking from their left side. They managed to get into the area, and while doing a few passes Carvajal, Real Madrid's right back, committed a foul and the referee indicated a valid penalty.
It was a silly foul from Carvajal but it has become clear the defensive side isn't his best. Oyarzabal was the player responsible for the penalty and sent it inside with a proper shot.
Now, Real Sociedad was on the lead, and Real Madrid was forced to attack as much as possible to try to tie this match.
El primer tiempo estaba cerca de su final cuando cerca del minuto 39 Camavinga recibió el balón fuera del área y de repente hizo un disparo increíblemente potente que fue simplemente imparable para el portero. El balón tuvo un pequeño desvío en Illarramendi, pero aún hay que darle mucho mérito para Camavinga gracias a su asombrosa técnica de tiro.

Igual de alucinante que lo de Camavinga, esta vez el disparo fue por la derecha en lugar de desde el centro como en el gol de Camavinga, Modric pudo mandar el balón al otro lado de la red con la zurda y fue imparable.
2 sorprendentes goles válidos en alrededor de 4-5 minutos fue una excelente manera de terminar la primera mitad. El Real Madrid ciertamente no merecía perder este partido, y los 2 goles fueron completamente merecidos.
Este gol supuso además un importante impulso emocional a favor del Real Madrid en un momento muy clave del partido. El comienzo y el final de ambos medios tiempos son áreas psicológicas importantes para marcar goles. Estos goles permitieron al Real Madrid empezar la segunda parte en unas circunstancias mucho más cómodas.
Algo que me sorprendió un poco en la segunda mitad, fue que el Real Madrid siguió siendo el equipo con más iniciativa a pesar de que ya tenía 1 gol de ventaja. Esto fue bueno para el Real Madrid, por supuesto, pero en realidad esperaba que la Real Sociedad tuviera algún tipo de reacción.
The first half was near its end when at around the 39-minute mark, Camavinga received the ball outside the area, and he suddenly makes an incredibly powerful shot that was simply unstoppable for the goalkeeper. The ball had a small deflection on Illarramendi, but there was still a lot of merit for Camavinga thanks to his amazing shooting technique.
This goal seemed to awaken something in Real Madrid because shortly after it, Benzema scored a goal but it was an invalid one due to offside. A couple of minutes later, it was Modric who made another amazing shot from the border of the area, and this time it was a 100% valid goal.
It was just as mind-blowing as Camavinga, this time the shot was from the right side instead of from the center like with Camavinga's goal, Modric was able to send the ball to the other side of the net with his left foot and it was unstoppable.
2 amazing valid goals in around 4-5 minutes was a great way to end the first half. Real Madrid certainly didn't deserve to be losing this match, and the 2 goals were completely deserved.
This goal also resulted in an important emotional impulse in favor of Real Madrid at a very key moment during the match. The beginning and end of both half times are important psychological areas to score goals. These goals allowed Real Madrid to begin the second half in much more comfortable circumstances.
Something that surprised me a little bit in the second half, was that Real Madrid continued to be the team with the most initiative despite the fact they already had a 1 goal advantage. This was good for Real Madrid of course, but I was actually expecting Real Sociedad to have some type of reaction.
El tercer gol válido del Real Madrid se produjo finalmente sobre el minuto 75. Vinicius hacía uno de sus habituales ataques por la banda izquierda, y al intentar regatear cerca del borde del área recibe falta. El penalti lo marcó Benzema, y el Real Madrid se llevó una merecida ventaja de 2 goles. Benzema también mereció un gol después de haber marcado 2 goles nulos.
Inmediatamente después del gol, Ancelotti envió a Rodrygo al banquillo y a Asensio al césped, y en lo que creo que fue su primer toque de balón, marcó el cuarto gol del Real Madrid.
La jugada arrancó con un pase largo de Casemiro a Carvajal, que corrió directo a la línea final, y allí pasó el balón a Asensio que estaba cerca del punto de penalti. Fue un gol muy decente y prácticamente selló la victoria del Real Madrid.
Después del cuarto gol del Madrid, no sucedió nada muy interesante en el partido, y los minutos restantes se consumieron lentamente sin que la Real Sociedad intentara siquiera marcar su segundo gol.
Esta fue una victoria muy sólida para el Real Madrid, y probablemente mejorará su energía emocional en el partido extremadamente desafiante que tendrán la próxima semana contra el PSG.

Esta próxima semana va a ser intensa gracias a los partidos de Champions League. Tengo pensado ver el Real Madrid vs PSG el miércoles en lo que sin duda sería el mejor partido de toda la temporada hasta ahora. Más partidos de la Liga de Campeones seguirán en la semana posterior a esa, y el fin de semana, habrá más partidos de la liga nacional como de costumbre.

The third valid goal for Real Madrid finally happened around the 75-minute mark. Vinicius was doing one of his usual attacks over the left side, and when attempting dribbling near the border of the area, he receives a foul. The penalty was scored by Benzema, and Real Madrid had a well-deserved 2 goal advantage. Benzema also deserved a goal after having scored 2 invalid ones.
Immediately after the goal, Ancelotti sent Rodrygo to the bench, and Asensio to the pitch, and in what I believe was his first touch of the ball, he scored Real Madrid's fourth goal.
The play started with a long pass from Casemiro to Carvajal, who ran straight to the final line, and there he passed the ball to Asensio who was near the penalty spot. It was a very decent goal and pretty much sealed the victory for Real Madrid.
After Madrid's fourth goal, nothing very interesting happened in the match, and the remaining minutes slowly got consumed with Real Sociedad not even attempting to score their second goal.
This was a very solid victory for Real Madrid, and will probably improve their emotional energy in the extremely challenging match they will have next week against PSG.
What's next?
This next week is going to be intense thanks to the Champions League matches. I plan to watch Real Madrid vs PSG on Wednesday in what would certainly be the best match of the entire season so far. More Champions League matches will follow in the week after that one, and on the weekend, there will be more national league matches as usual.

El partido estuvo bueno, creo que Camavinga jugó muy bien, quizás pueda ser el reemplazante de Casemiro ante el PSG, no hay otro con las características del brasileño y el más cercano es el joven francés. Casemiro también jugó un buen partido, sobre todo cuando el Real Sociedad tuvo que adelantar sus líneas.
Un buen partido para los merengues en líneas generales
Creo que Camavinga sí debe jugar ante el PSG, es necesario su poderío físico para mantener un ritmo alto. El Madrid lo tiene complicado en ese partido pero esta victoria debe darles bastante animo, fue una victoria importante y además les mejora su posición en liga.
Saludos, el partido del Real Madrid fue muy bueno y le servirá de impulso para la champios contra el PSG, pero siguió mostrando algunas debilidades en defensa que deben solucionar.
Carvajal es mu débil en defensa, pero eso no creo que tenga arreglo al corto plazo. Esa debilidad va a seguir existiendo hasta que fichen a un nuevo lateral derecho, y como recientemente renovaron a Carvajal y a Vazquez, no creo que el club tenga pensado hacer un fichaje para esa posición sino como hasta dentro de 2-3 años.
Por ahora creo que la prioridad es reforzar la delantera.
