Apr. 10, 22: Routine, Grocery Shopping, Walking, TV, and Games

[I’ve got teaching again today and despite starting on this post super early this morning, somehow, the rest of the morning has gotten away from me. Going to do the best I can, but I still don’t really have a concrete idea of what I’m going to teach today! 😱 It all the up to twelve past ten again before I can post, so I’m thinking it might be time to reset again today. 🤬 I messaged Ray again yesterday (been eight months since the first time) and he has no intention of fixing the problem…it’s taskmaster’s code and he’s AWOL…for eight months. Actually thinking about dumping BRO, taking some profit, and hopefully making up for the loss from listening to him; would be nice to be able to post whenever and not have to worry about it any more. 🤔 Timing my posts to the minute every day for the last eight months has been a serious bitch.]

Got to bed pretty late again last night, after ten, and was up and out of bed by five. FitBit says I was two full hours short, but I’m going to call it an hour…doesn’t really matter, it wasn’t a solid night’s sleep. 😢

Got on with the morning routine and cryptos are still more or less trading sideways. BAL decided to go right back down, so now I’m losing even more now than before! Lovely how that seems to happen every day…had one day where I recovered a bit, but that’s fine now plus a little more. 🤬 I suppose it’s my fault for hanging on this long; should have bailed out like a year ago…but the resentment has now turned into ill will.

Otherwise, just the usual stuff. I had two nice sales over on the SOL market, so took care of adjusting members’ settings and getting the proceeds withdrawn and staked. ☀️

I went in to check on WAX paper o claim my stake rewards, but for some reason my CPU usage was more than double my max?!?! That’s not even possible, so not sure what fuckwittery was happening…I assume it has something to do with network usage overall? 🤷 It was the same for both my accounts, so I was basically frozen out all day. 🤬 Really don’t like that. 😡🤬😡🤬

I tried to claim my Taco airdrop as a test of something else I can do on WAX, but it fired an error. It’s a TestFlight, so I understand there may be errors and I agreed to report them as a tester, so I let them know in their Discord. I didn’t get any resolution, though. 😢

Later on in the day the CPU did come back down and I was able to claim the Taco drop from my cloud wallet at least (still not Anchor). [Went in to claim this morning and it’s the same shit again!!! 😱🤬]

I’m rapidly climbing the ranks over in Pizza Discord and am starting to rival members that have been around much longer than I have! 💪 Kinda’ proud, but at the same time it means I’m spending an inordinate amount of time in there. Still, I’ve been having fun in there and I definitely have lots of tokens to show for my time as well. 👍🤑

I guess one other thing to note was that the HBD interest has officially risen to a whopping twenty percent!

I’ve been parking any HBD I get in savings since the program began, but now at twenty it’s looking really attractive!!! Especially against my Aave investments at fractions of a percent. 😢

I got my post done and published for the day and then we headed into town to do the weekly grocery shopping. We took Wenche’s car today since we had a ton of empty bottles to return. We didn’t get a lot of stuff, and a lot of what we got was on sale, but even with more than eleven dollars in bottle returns we ended up well above a hundred dollars. 🤬 Can’t escape it, the inflation is crazy, especially on meats!

Got home, got everything put away, grabbed some lunch, and then got embroiled in a debate over on Discord about whether dBuzz (taken to the extreme) is or is not good for the chain. Felt bad, though, the wife and the dog were waiting for me. 🥴

It was quite nice out and so we went over to Mom’s and got the Ladybug and took them out for a solid walk around the nature trail. 😁

Still a bit chilly for my taste, especially the wind, but it wasn’t bad, and when the wind stopped the Sun felt quite nice!

The froggies were going crazy out there and were super loud! I also saw a big turtle 🐢! 😁 The pond level is still super high, right up to the edge, and it’s already starting to fill up with green muck.

Doggies seemed like they were having a good time running around and sniffing! 👍

After we got back, Wenche made us chicken and rice and salad for dinner and we watched Smoking Aces that I had bought a while back. Unfortunately, the disk froze up an hour and five minutes in and we gave up on it after trying again. 😭

I played my Splinterlands quest and got ready for bed and we put on Without a Paddle (which I’d seen before - we own it in fact) but I fell asleep long before it was over.

Well, we’re back to negative dShitty income, whatever that means, but somehow I got twenty SIM today! Massive!! 😲 I think there may be a slight tax refund for the student that spawned the other day. Not sure though, I tuned out when the new “tactics” meant “buy more cards.” Oh, and my Bank got robbed, but who knows what effect that had? 🤷

Seems like Rising Star is really becoming an afterthought these days. Pretty sure I only remembered to go in once today in the morning and did the one lesson and then didn’t think about it again until I started writing this.

Speaking of Rising Star, it was clearly coded by a barely intelligent monkey; even so, it is fully functional on mobile (at least through HiveWallet)…not even this can be said for HashKings. 🤬

Their desktop site is moderately functional and their mobile site is completely dysfunctional and yet they tried (and failed) to launch yet another mechanism (and yet another token I believe) for staking. Surprise, surprise, the coding was a flop and it didn’t work and they had to wind it back. (Really gotten sour on this one right quick!)

I got going with my Splinterlands quest pretty early in the evening today. I’ve been starting on it pretty late the last couple days and it gets frustrating that I have it hanging over my head to finish before I can go to bed. Easy fix, do it earlier.

Not too bad today! Got Dragon splinter for my quest and was finally able to break into Diamond with four days left:

Got the quest done in Diamond III for a couple more chests. Got an epic and a rare, which was nice, but the DEC rewards are completely laughable:

Got my rewards for the last brawl and had enough to get another Gladiator pack. Not too bad either, just annoying that they don’t really have any value:

Otherwise nothing happening. Staked my still declining SPS drop for the day and made no moves with regard to vouchers, but having blown through all my funds from last time, it’s starting to bother me…thinking about pulling out a bunch more, but we’ll see.
