Apr. 13, 22: Routine, PIMP Meeting, Teaching, TV, and Games

Crashed out last night watching TV just shortly before eight, but the snoring woke me up again before three. 😭 I moved out to go back to sleep on the couch and as the light turned itself off and I started to doze, the dog came running in and activated the motion sensor and wanted to go out. 😡

At that point I was just up and I never did get back to sleep. I was exhausted yesterday, and add another two hours short on that and I’m a zombie…I’ve been trying my best not to be grumpy, but internally my mood isn’t great. (Meanwhile I smoked more than a fricking pack of cigarettes 🚬 before ten in the morning. 🤬)

Had teaching today, but was prepped as far as material was concerned. In both classes we reviewed for the exam coming up this weekend. Otherwise it was mostly the usual morning routine, just done super duper early.

Got my post done pretty early, so that was at least nice that I wasn’t stressing to try and get it done when I needed to shower and make lunch and do all that…plus there was the PIMP meeting at ten, so I had it posted and jumped into the Discord. It is a bit frustrating that I can’t really be involved since I’m driving, but it is what it is. (Plus I always miss the end of the meeting because I lose signal when I pull into the parking garage 😢).

Teaching was pretty short and sweet! We basically just walked through the exam questions and then I let them out super early. Didn’t do me all that much good, though, just more time to sit and wait in the parking lot. Anyway, it was fine and I watched a bit of YouTube and chatted some on Pizza server.

Same deal for Calculus. I was kind of chuckling to myself because the exam is soooo much easier than the stuff we’ve been covering that they wanted to make the questions way harder than they actually were! 😂 Had to be like, no, it really is just that simple. That means their CalcuFu is strong. 😁

Kind of felt old 😂 I was looking for somewhere to write myself a note so that I didn’t forget to look at it and wrote on the back of my hand…I said “Ha, ha, Palm Pilot.” and they all looked at me like I was crazy. Then it sunk in, none of them had any idea what a Palm Pilot was, outdated like ten years before they were born! 🤣

Let them out early as well and the drive home was smooth, so I got home with enough time to fire up the Oculus and play a couple songs on Beat Saber before Wenche got home. Played through the last few songs I had left on the new Fall Out Boy pack and shared one of my first go through videos. I kind of like doing those because it’s straight up skill and reaction time, no conditioning or anticipation.

When she got home she made us burgers and fries for dinner and we watched a Spanish show: Primate, that was alright. After a bit she switched back over to Queen of the South, but I was joking around on Discord and playing my Splinterlands quest, so didn’t really pay attention as usual.

Despite feeling exhausted for the last two days, I got to bed relatively late again…was around nine or so, really thought I would have crashed out earlier than that.

Meh, dShitty is busted. Not much more to say about it than that. My Shopping Mall got robbed, but insult to injury has lost its oomph at this stage.

Went in and plodded through a couple more missions on Rising Star today. I had a small number of drunks, but they expired, so of course I needed to get some more. 😛 For the time being, that means my actual Ego is obscured but I’m fairly certain it isn’t zero any more, so I switched to lessons.

I got a good chuckle today. There have been a stream of pings from HashKings patting themselves on the back for fixing the new staking mechanism. The other day to harvest two plots, plant two plots, and water two plots took me over a half an hour to accomplish and more page refreshes than I can count…point being, what they have done barely works and yet they’re making Moar!

I went in and asked (sarcastically) wen BUDSX staking for BUDSY (and then BUDSY staking for BUDSWhayever)…and he totally missed it! 😂🤣 His response was: there will be BUDSX staking, for EXP. Hahahahahahaha!

And then EXP staking for DONUTS and DONUTS staking for BUDS and round in a circle we go. 🤪 I think the basic level of tokenomic/economic understanding of these gents is highly questionable and they intend to continuously create inflation under the guise of “hypertokenization” (which is not a thing) and then whine about how their token has been diluted and will need to institute more capital controls.

(Pretty sure Aggroed is happy about it, though, put some gas in his private jet! 🤑)

Really didn’t take very long for me to go sour on this one, boy! I’m thinking about running a time to break even calculation to see how truly rediculous it is (and will get worse with the capital controls) which will justify me dumping this like the hot garbage it is.

Played my Splinterlands quest in the evening as usual. I did get a bit of a late start, but not too bad, and I made some solid progress! 💪

I got Life splinter for my quest today, but there was no way I was going to try and struggle through that, so I switched it up and got Sneak quest again. 👍 I was just under the line to cross over into Diamond II, but I know how I get when I try to get to the next tier before trying to get the quest done, so I just finished it out. Really could do without the potions, but I got some more upgrade fodder:

There’s one more daily quest outstanding now, so I have that dilemma of whether or not to risk trying to play it out…

Staked my SPS drop for the day, which actually went back up by a couple, at least back to where it was before it dropped hard yesterday. Still considering pulling out some more vouchers, but didn’t do anything with them today…been using that as my main source of liquid funds, but kind of looking more towards getting my MATIC investment out of there and over onto Hive. 🤔
