Dec. 12, 21: Routine, Grocery Shopping, Oculus, Chaos Legion Day 5, TV, and Games

Well, I can say that my sleep has been a bit better the last few days. It’s been unseasonably warm here and the cat has been staying out at night, so that might explain it mostly. Regardless, made it until nearly five this morning and close enough to call it a full night. Still not got a fire burning to get stuff done, but I can hear a crackle in the embers.

Still not much (good) happening in the crypto markets…got a long, slow, downward slide going that’s both ugly and boring…I suppose it’s better than a precipitous drop. My MATIC punt has started to lose ground against ETH and my risk profile has gotten significantly more risky since the decline in my collateral value, but I’ve still gained back some of my losses and am not in danger enough to need to make a move.

I’ve now added obsessing about BeeSwap to the routine, but there’s not really all that much to see (other than the overall drop in dollar value). I’m still unhappy with my position in the DEC pool, but have yet to unwind it, but not sure if it’s better to buy BXT or go harder into the SPS pool or transfer the DEC in game for the airdrop points. Decisions, decisions. One good thing is this capital that I have to work with came from SPS and voucher drops, so it’s all free money anyway…in that regard I do have to say that Splinterlands has proven to be pretty well worth the time and effort (although maybe not the swearing 😜).

After I got my post done and we waited for the dryer to get done I played a couple songs on Beat Saber and then we headed into town and did the weekly grocery shopping. The productivity level is still insanely low, but at least that’s something done that needed to be.

Had a sandwich for lunch and Wenche headed back into town to do some more shopping, so I played a bit more Beat Saber and then big time switched gears and caught a couple fish on Real VR Fishing. Opened up my Splinterlands packs and got the cards all combined…only one more day left and it’s all done. 😭

Got an email from a student that they came up positive for the rona, so stressed about that for a while and got the digital version set up for her online. [My stress level is through the roof at the moment because I procrastinated on the Calculus I final, thinking I had a copy, but I can’t find it at all, so I think I have to build it from scratch this morning! 😱]

Not too much else going on for the day. Made myself some soup for dinner, tried and struggled, and failed to complete my Splinterlands quest, and then crashed out watching some tube…fell asleep pretty early, like seven thirty, so even though I have caught up some, I’m obviously still tired.

I guess sick people do result in decreased income, solid excuse for dShitty not to even live up to the 62/365 I should be getting each day.

Alright, it’s been a few weeks now. It doesn’t appear, as I was holding out hope, that they are going to change their minds about the pay-to-play decisions they’ve made. CryptoSuckmaster is a waste of time and effort and should not be played by anyone with two brain cells since your time is better spent playing something else.

Did a couple more missions on Rising Star; still just trying to grind to the next level (and then another after that)…not sure that all this slogging is going to pay off simply unlocking a new mission, the only thing I’m trying to do is unlock more band members (although I don’t really think that makes much difference anyway)…don’t even know how many more levels I’ll have to grind to get that one finally.

I did go in to the market today and got another person card for seven thousand Starbits or so. I guess that might increase the XP per mission by a couple?

Played most of my Splinterlands quest in the evening. I got really close to Diamond and I wanted to break up into it before I finished, but of course, with one win left to go I get right up to it over and over and just keep losing back as if there’s an invisible wall just underneath the boundary to Diamond. 🤬 My phone battery ran out and I was about getting ready for bed, so I quit out for the night.

I had planned on finishing up in the morning before doing this post, but got caught in trying to find the Calc final and while I hate to leave it, so I don’t have as much time as I had hoped and will have to see about it in the afternoon.

I opened twenty more Chaos Legion packs today. Did alright with a couple more summoners and a few gold foil, but with only twenty packs left to open I’m a little dejected in that they’re mostly unusable at level two or three. I’m not sure what the plans are for the general sale, but I sure hope they open up to purchases with DEC or SPS. Otherwise it’s going to be rough to get them leveled up much further.

I still haven’t made any moves regarding my vouchers and I’m sort of regretting my inaction due to indecision as they continue to collapse in value. I guess I’m most frustrated with myself in that I saw this coming…even as I thought about it, that little voice said “take what you can get now, they’re going lower” and I heard it, but didn’t really listen. 😢
