Fell asleep just before ten, normal time, but woke up and needed to use the bathroom around quarter to four and then my brain started in with being all bent out of shape about the final exams and I couldn’t get back to sleep. Got up then for a solid two more hours short on sleep. 😭 I dragged insanely hard the entire day but somehow didn’t crash out (even though I wanted to).

Killed a little time chatting over on Discord and getting going super early on the morning routine (which might qualify as a middle of the night routine at this point). Not much interesting going on there, just the usual stuff. HIVE did have a bit of a green candle, but not by much. Otherwise, Bitcoin is trading crazy sideways…oh, I forgot to mention that the Aave BAL I bought has been frozen. 🤬 I think it just means that I can’t directly swap the tokens; hoping I get my straight BAL back if I withdraw. 😯

Got to work on my post and got a decent one done early again (but got distracted and posted a few minutes late again as well) and then started to drag even harder than I had been all morning.

I laid down with the hope of getting an early nap, but I was silly and put on Along with the Gods: The Last 49 Days, the sequel to the one I watched the other day. It was just as good as the first and despite being quite long (and me being exhausted) I stayed awake through the whole thing.

I still had zero motivation and I put on another like comedy, action Asian flick but I lost interest in it pretty quick and just shut it off.

Wenche was set to head home to Norway this evening and she had a nail appointment after half day of work at home, so I took a bit of time (wasted?) to play some Into the Radius (got myself into a bit of a pickle - entered an area with a bunch of enemies and got pinned inside a building and died over and over trying to get out of the area), got frustrated with it and played a round of Beat Saber.

Quit out and went over to chat on Discord and realized that the Raven Christmas Party was going, so I hopped over there and had some Trivia and played Rumble Royal. Didn’t win any of the battles this time, but came super close on one of them and still got a couple PIZZA staked up from trivia and tips. 🤑

While I can’t say that I particularly enjoy Christmas music (actually working retail destroyed it for me and I pretty much detest almost all of it), it was kind of neat to hear some different songs from different cultures (even though they still sounded all cheesy and bland or sappy and boring to me anyway…damn you sound system on repeat!!!!).

Wenche got back from her appointment and finished up with her packing and everything, so we spent some intimate time before we had to leave for the airport. I got a quick bowl of cereal for dinner and we headed out.

The roads weren’t all that bad (not great either, though) but the wind was serious and the traffic was really slow for the most part. Still, even taking it easy and going slow, I got her there two hours (supposedly) before her flight, like we were supposed to. [turns out that her flight was delayed because a baggage machine broke and she didn’t actually leave until around ten hours later! 😱🤬]

The drive back was pretty slow going as well, but it wasn’t snowing, just blowing, so not terrible and I texted her and called Mom when I got home to let them know everything was alright.

By then it was getting on close to bedtime (well, a bit early, but I was hoping to catch up considering how exhausted I felt today) and I put on some SuperStore until falling asleep shortly after nine.

My Splinterlands rental income is languishing in the same place as the last week. $1.3 for today, so ten cents or so better than yesterday, but it’s somewhat disappointing looking at more than a week’s worth of saving and four days of SPS interest and seeing that it only just barely makes the ten that I need for the Astral Revelations starter pack. 🥲

Claimed my SPS interest, paid the rental fee, and now have over a hundred saved up, a particular thing I want to spend it on, and a day or so to get ready, so looking like a swap is imminent.

While it’s kind of nice that it was a round number of streak days at the switch, it really does annoy the heck out of me but my numbers are so screwed up…honestly considering purposefully breaking the streak to start again and see if my numbers agree…but seventy-five days so far on this one, don’t want to give it up unless I really have to. If I can keep it going past two hundred and four, then the longest streak numbers would agree as well…🤔

There’s also the consideration regarding the current differential between a ten thousand steps per day streak and a “goal” streak…although I kind of like the adaptive goal, I’m worried that it’s going to get harder and harder to maintain and I’ll break the goal streak while still maintaining ten thousand steps and then I’ll have real dilemma with numbers disagreeing. Right now the goal isn’t that far off, so I’m going to leave it; I’m not also sure if altering the goal with mess up the streak counter or not.
