Feb. 18, 22: Routine, Shoveling, Oculus, Trivia Night, Web Work, TV, and Games
Another harsh one tonight. š¢ Got to bed fairly late, pushing ten anyway, but still woke up well before five. Ended with another solid two hours short on sleep, but actually made it through and summoned some motivation to work! š
The morning routine was a bit rough as well with cryptos flashing hardcore reds again across the board. š± Iām glad I no longer have to worry about liquidation, but having swapped into BAL and then immediately losing several hundred dollars for the trouble doesnāt exactly inspire confidence or spark joy, so to speak.
Really starting to consider just pulling out and bridging backā¦I mean, just parking it in HP is two percent, multiples of what Iām earning now on Aave! Let alone twelve percent parking in savings or what I could get from the poolsā¦even earn 30% parking it in SPS! So many options are looking better than that nowā¦kindaā thinking I just have to take my licks, accept that following Ray was a mistake and just get what I can back out. š¤š”
I did go in and make some moves on H-E. Got tired of parking buy orders and having them get buried, so went in and took the market. There wasnāt a massive amount of liquidity available, but through the course of yesterday and today I did hit my target for the PIZZA:ONEUP pool and got my position up to where I wanted it for a first test.
Got my post done and shared and then figured Iād probably better head outside and clear the snow that we got overnight. Unfortunately, the blower refused to start; not sure if it was spark or stale fuel, probably the latterā¦or possibly a combination of bad fuel mix and stale gas? I donāt know. The primer is broken, so it could have been fuel supply, but after running the electric starter for some time it was spitting gas (flooded), so it wasnāt supply.
Either way, that meant that I had to do it all the old fashioned way. Took quite a while and some of that snow was wicked wet and heavy, especially by the time I was nearing the end and the sun was out melting it. Was a bit tough on my back and I did end up taking some painkillers before bed.
Spent quite a bit of time mucking about and chatting on Discord, and was pondering the definition of āpizzaā while I was out clearing the snow. I got this far šš¤£:
As it is self-evident that all sauce and no bread is soup and, thus, not pizza. And, furthermore, that all bread with no sauce is bread, and hence also not pizza. It is, therefore, reasonable to conclude that there are a necessary range of bread to sauce ratios that can define a pizza.- Introduction to Pizzatology, First Edition, Page 2
Iād fired up the computer early this morning to sort of nag at myself that it was sitting there waiting for meā¦but after I got the snow done and grabbed some lunch, I turned a bit of a blind eye.
As is the norm in these instances, I played some Oculus instead. I wasnāt really feeling like risking not feeling well playing either of the last two games I got, so chose to start another four hundred piece puzzle on Puzzling Places. There are some new puzzles available as well, but I thought they were a bit expensive. Weāll see, Iāll likely end up buying them anyway.
Set an alarm šØ, which was good because time flies in VR, and I needed it to get out in time for Trivia Night on Pizza Discord! Was totally fun, and I won quite a few PIZZA š that I was able to withdraw and add to my pool position. šš¤
Once we finished with that, I got a quick shower and then started to feel guilty that (for the second day in a row) I wasnāt tackling Keychain. Only one way to fix that: sit down and give it a shot.
Of course, I started by working on something completely different, but I finally figured out how to echo a JSON inside a JSON! šŖ That was the way I originally wanted to do it, but was struggling with syntax; having fixed that makes the program flow much nicer and more modular. šš¤
Felt pretty good about accomplishing that (even though that wasnāt actually the goal), and turned toward testing Keychain. So far, so good! Amazingly, not a single error (yet š)!!!
I successfully verified that my browser has Keychain installed, but havenāt yet fired a transaction signatureā¦thatās the e next goal. I also went in and started adding some notations in the code in the event that someone later may have need to dig through it, but I suppose the ability to pass around objects was the big step for today.
Wenche got home from work and made us an omelette for dinner and we watched some more Sex Education and I played some Splinterlands until bedtime.
Same shite, different day on dShitty. What else is there to say?
Got my Ego back down to zero on Rising Star and switched back to doing missions again. Otherwise, not much else going on with thisā¦still considering the PIZZA pool, though. š¤
Iām a bit lost now with my Splinterlands quest and thatā¦kind of lost track. Iāve got them resetting early in the morning now, which is weird because itās usually in the evening. Anyway, I had Fire splinter from before and I didnāt get a single win, so I reset and got Life for today.
I did, at least, manage to fight my way back into Gold II, but I canāt say I didnāt get a little frustrated in there.
Got my quest done back in Gold III.
Vouchers were up slightly again, and Iād gone on a token buying spree, so my liquid was getting a little low; pulled the trigger and finally sold the remaining ones I had on the market. Honestly, considering moving some more out, but havenāt so far. Otherwise, staked my SPS as usual.
