June 9, 21: Routine, Starting with Solana, Errands, Oculus, Laps, Another Movie, and Games

Been several days of relatively low productivity, but I can’t really blame it on lack of sleep. Ten to six thirty is right about in the sweet spot again and only a half an hour short. In fact, I made it through the whole day without napping AND without any extra caffeine! 😀

Not a lot going on during the usual morning routine, cryptos same old boring reds, shittokens still shitty, HIVE portfolio crashing…nothing new.

I did get a bit of an insider invite into a brand new project on Solana. Not too stoked about having to buy yet another token, but it’s not bad to try out new things.

Of course, it isn’t compatible with Metamask and Trust can only handle the coin but not the tokens, so it meant setting up a new wallet. I did get that going, though, relatively smoothly and now I can at least see a zero balance. 😛

Yet another “ETH killer,” but hopefully it will be less centralized than BSC (10B TVL under the control of CZ) and Polygon (8.6B TVL in a single 5/8 multisig wallet and we don’t know who controls the keys).

I did have to laugh. Trying to be an Ethereum killer against all these others, you’d think, would imply low fees…fu$&ing $.08 just to add a token to your wallet! How rediculous is that?!?!

I swore I saw it on Coinbase, but it isn’t listed there now, so the hint is on to even be able to get some. At least, as far as I understand, there aren’t stupid version issues like with BNB (ERC20, BEP20, BEP2) or MATIC (ERC20, whatever theirs is), but it’s not readily available anywhere that I could find. Don’t really want to sell my LTC for it either.

Messed around on Discord quite a bit as usual, did my post, got a sandwich for lunch, and then busted out the Oculus. Still can’t seem to find an area to play where the controller tracking is consistent. Maybe it’s not the lighting, maybe it’s just not that awesome…I mean, usually it works fine, but missing through blocks on Beat Saber is seriously annoying.

Played a bit of Star Wars pinball as well. It’s actually more fun playing virtual pinball than you might imagine…certainly more realistic and entertaining than the 2D version I used to play all the time on Xbox.

Had a few bills due and stuff to mail, so I did a quick loop downtown to run the errands and then swung by mom’s house to say hi to Lady and helped her install a downspout extension on the side of her house.

I watched Predators yesterday, so what did I watch today? You guessed it: Alien Covenant. I enjoyed it…had the classic face huggers and little dudes bursting out of people’s chests, all of what you’d expect.

Afterwards, Wenche made sausages and pasta for dinner and I grabbed a quick shower. It was wicked humid out, and I did do a short walk and played Beat Saber, but I still did some laps throughout the day to get all my steps in.

Need to focus and get something accomplished here right quick…a Solairitas update would be one thing!

Yesterday I didn’t even bother to say anything about dShitty, not worth the effort. Today I’m just going to suck this section for a few more words so I can feel better about myself creating “quality” content.

tl;dr: dShitty = still shitty.

To be honest, at this point, I’m not quite sure what conclusion to draw. On the one hand I could say potions are actually meaningless and unnecessary (as I’m at second position and got my tasks done), on the other hand I’m probably just lucky that abachon is there.

Back up at the top of the dog pile, but it’s been weeks since they’ve bothered to reward arena rank (except for the one time), so whatever. Not really sure why I keep up with this, especially since I’ve now gotten into Rising Star.

Speaking of Rising Star, I’m still doing fairly well for a start and have unlocked the ability to withdraw (amazing, unlike CryptoBrewmaster I didn’t have to pay for it)! Don’t really like that you can only withdraw 1,000 at a time, but for now I’m not concerned.

As far as CryptoBrewmaster goes, I got one ingredient and started another. I think this water is the last ingredient I needed, but I don’t really care much any more.

Played some Splinterlands again in the evening.
