Mar. 25, 22: Routine, Oculus, Walking, Pizza Trivia, Dinner, TV, and Games

[Today I’m looking at thirteen past before I can post. 🤬 Starting to get really annoying again…thinking maybe I should just set quarter past as the time to reset and get skipped since Ray, obviously, has no skill to fix it, nor intention of getting it fixed. 🤬😡🤬]

Got to bed well after ten again last night and woke up before five for another two and a half hours short on sleep today. After sleeping the entire afternoon yesterday, I couldn’t do it again, but I’ll admit I certainly wanted to.

I had two main things I needed to work on today: the website and the taxes. Since the taxes have a more pressing time factor, that was the one thing I wanted to accomplish. Ultimately, I only made it as far as thinking about how much work it is that needs to be done. 😢

The morning routine was fairly usual, but it’s definitely nice to see some green in the crypto markets! Losing even harder against ETH, though, and it’s really starting to piss me off…should have just left it sit and I would have been 100 times better off. 🤬 Fu$& Ray again.

Otherwise all the normal stuff. Worked on my post fighting the desire to sleep the entire time, but got it done and shared. I’d kinda’ been feeling bad about the dog being bored (and then getting annoyed with him when he gets hyper in the evening), so I decided to take him for a proper walk…it was cold and raining (that’s my excuse anyway), so after I posted and shared, I jumped into VR for a while.

Played a couple more levels on Onogoro, but didn’t play all that long; enough to satisfy my desire to procrastinate/play, but I really didn’t want to waste the entire day phased out of real life (definitely not getting the taxes done), so I quit out and got an early lunch.

Of course, after lunch is when I hit the wall big time, and there was that struggle to deal with. Figured rather than lay down, since there was a slight break in the clouds, it was time to take the dog.

We definitely got rained on and it wasn’t very warm, to say the least, and the wind certainly made it worse, to the point that I considered turning around a couple times, but was hardcore and kept going. 💪

We ended being out for a good hour and by the last kilometer the Sun actually popped out for a bit and it felt quite nice.

Kinda’ dinked around for a bit after I got back and grabbed a shower since we were going to go out for dinner and was about half an hour late to Pizza Trivia Night. 😢 I did get a few right, though, and we went a little over time, so I got some more PIZZA! 🍕🤑

I had about an hour or so before Wenche got home from work, and I couldn’t fight it any more, so I laid down. Put on Two Sentence Horror Stories and didn’t fall asleep at all! My heart was racing the whole time. 🤣

After Wenche got home I got up, put some proper pants on, and we went and picked up Mom for her 80th birthday dinner. There used to be a couple good places to eat here in our little town, but they’d all shut down. One just recently reopened and I thought it would be nice to give it a try as well as being close and not crazy formal (not so much work for Mom to get ready).

Should have figured…six o’clock on a Friday evening? The only place in town? It was packed. Took about an hour from when we got there to when we finally got our food. The food was kinda’ bland to be honest, and it ended up costing me more than seventy bucks for three people! 😱

I was slightly aggravated by that, but whatever birthday dinner, but then they charged me like 10% fee for using a credit card! 🤬🤬🤬 I mean, for real? In 2022 they’re not able to process a credit card?! And even if they have to pay a surcharge, with the markup on that food, they should have eaten the fee, not passed it on to us. 😡 Long story short, not likely to eat there again any time soon.

Got back pretty late and then played my Splinterlands quest (which, thankfully went well) and watched TV until another late bedtime.

Just the obligatory couple of missions today on Rising Star. My Ego is staying low, which is nice, but the progress has ground to a virtual halt…still like three more levels to go, and then how many to finally be able to unlock band members?!?!

Harvested my BUDS today on HashKings and replanted my plot. Still need to go in on the computer to do anything useful with them (as well as set a Raid - which I’ve only done once 😢). Got another harvest coming due as well; at least slightly more interesting than only once a week.

Played my Splinterlands quest in the evening and it went really smoothly! 😮 Makes me a little nervous that it’s going to screw me over, but I’m getting close to Diamond II. 💪

Pretty good rewards for once today! Got an epic, a rare, a nice bit of DEC, and a pack! 👍

Still no moves with vouchers today, although my liquid HIVE hasn’t been this low in a very long time and I don’t like it so much. Really itching to move some out and sell for other investment rather than them sitting there, but I think they’ll pop the second I pull the trigger.

Staked up my SPS drop for the day. Looks like I’ll end up with a solid balance…hoping that once the drop is done there won’t be nearly as much available supply and the price will rise; seems logical, but who’s to say?
