May 18, 22: Routine, DoubleDay, Teaching, Airport, TV, and Games

[Hrm. 😡 I got an early start working on this post this morning, but I’ve spent the last hour or so trying and failing to swap MATIC for pHBD. 🤬🤬🤬 Tried three different times and I don’t even get a trx hash now. I got one on the first try, but it was pending and then just vanished. I really don’t understand why every time I try and interact with Leo stuff it never works. 🤷 This might be Polygon being glitchy and not their fault, but I don’t know and it’s definitely not a good first impression! Was just trying to test it out with a small amount and, surprise! It doesn’t work. Anyway, that’s put me wicked behind on my post now as well. At least I can eke out a few extra words remarking on my frustration.]

Today was a pretty busy one, actually. Was up early, well before five, which cut me about an hour and a half short on sleep again, but did give me a relatively early start on the morning routine.

Got most of my usual stuff done, worked on my post, and then got ready for work. I’d forgotten to make my lunch yesterday, so did that quick and Wenche was coming back from Norway today, so I did some extra cleaning in the kitchen as well as the bathroom (figured it was mostly my dirt at that point. 😛).

The drive in wasn’t too bad. Hit a slight slowdown toward the end, but was alright on time, just made it hurt a little more ‘cus I really needed to pee. 😮

Today we switched gears a little bit and moved from applying the integral to looking at further strategies for more complex integrals. I started by looking at epsilon-delta proofs (which they really should have done in Calc I) as a foreshadowing for when we need to define the convergence of a sequence. After that we looked at integration By Parts and then transitioned into trigonometric integrals.

Let them out just a couple minutes early, answered some questions, and then went out and grabbed my sandwich for lunch. It was a bit more relaxed than Monday, but time flies, and I headed back in for my second class. It throws me off all the time that we start at half past. 🥴 I hit the halfway point at the right time this time, but I nearly let them out half an hour early! 😱 Luckily, some students looked at me like I was crazy and I realized my mistake. Felt bad bringing them back after I had dismissed them, but it did give us a chance to look at some more examples.

Wenche’s plane had landed while I was teaching, so she had been waiting for me for a while already, and I headed straight from work to pick her up from the airport. I was pretty worn out (and so was she), and I always seem to tense up real bad on the drive home, so when I got home I was hurting and hungry.

Made myself the rest of the corned beef hash with an egg and tried some toast with it as well to balance the protein with some carbs to see if that might help my tummy a bit. Took some painkillers to try and relax my neck and shoulder and hopefully dull my back for the night.

Wenche put on some boring war drama movie, but I don’t think either of us were really paying attention. She was falling asleep sitting up and decided just to hit the hay early. I got ready for bed as well and then started thinking about Splinterlands, but did my Wordles instead.

Went to bed, but I couldn’t really see the TV and I kinda’ wanted to watched Rick and Morty, and she was snoring like crazy, so I moved over to the couch and ended up sleeping there.

Seems like it’s been quite a while now of being continuously haunted with drunks on Rising Star. 🤬 It is what it is, I suppose. Just been grinding missions until I can see what my Ego actually is, meanwhile I take the income hit and nothing I can do about it.

Six days of watching grass grow has finally expired again on HashKings. I do have some designs on getting on the computer, but there’s errands to run as well (and Oculus calling), so we’ll see how that goes.

It ended up being quite late before I turned towards playing Splinterlands. I was pretty much already ready for bed, but I was going to…I did my Wordles for the day instead and that was the end of my brain’s capacity to pay serious attention to anything.

Of course, I intended to play in the morning, but got caught up in other stuff and it didn’t happen. Really behind on my daily quests at this point! 😭

Just staked my SPS drop, as usual. It did actually go up by a fraction today, which is certainly better then the prevailing trend. Otherwise, been claiming the vouchers along with it, but it hasn’t quite settled into a pattern where I can see if it’s comparable to before or not.
