Nov. 15, 22: Routine, Pimp Meeting, Walking, Teaching, TV, and Games

Got a pretty good bedtime last night, right around nine or so, which is a good start, but I was up a couple times in the night and got up early, like just after five, so I was nearly an hour short again. It caught up to me hard today and I dragged pretty much all morning and crashed out in the afternoon. 😢

Being up at five gave me an early start on the morning routine. Unfortunately, been having a bit of tummy trouble again as well, and this morning was pretty bad in that regard…my butthole was being an asshole.

Otherwise, mostly just did the usual stuff I do in the morning. Did a bit of curation, checked the crypto and SOL markets (cryptos still trading basically sideways - BTC in the mid $16k range - I am strongly considering moving some of my MATIC out to HIVE…three to one is a tasty conversion rate), shifted tokens, and got a super early start on my post. Got it pretty much done in time for the weekly PIMP meeting over on Discord.

Witty wasn’t feeling it today, so we didn’t really have a formal meeting, just kinda’ chatted for an hour. The topic of GLX came up and I’d tried to get that working and failed, so figured I’d check it out again. It kept booting me out at the beginning, but I did finally get in and decided to stake the tokens I’ve been airdropped. The interest rate on those is insane right now and for the moment I’m quite pleased with ho much “money” I’ve already made from it…I have the strong feeling that this price level won’t be sustainable, though, and like SPS as the newness wears off, the interest rate declines, and the supply increases…all spell downward trajectory.

This kind of makes me think I should try and take advantage of the early mover bonus and take some profit out before the value gets erased…but there’s that other part of me that’s pleased with myself for staking SPS instead of eating that cookie right away…and reaping the additional benefits by getting these tokens as well! 🤑 Tough to know how to play it…moderate idea would be to stake most of it and siphon some off right now, but at the moment I’m just staking everything I get and we’ll play it from there. Truth be told, I don’t really have any interest in ever playing this or owning any cards, but if I can play it smart and get some extra income, well bully for me! Regardless, I was pretty happy that the meeting meant that I was earning more now than I was before, very fruitful. 😁

After the meeting finished up and I got my post published and shared, I still had a ton of preparation to do for this evening’s Calculus class. Spent a few hours working on my notes and practicing the problems to cover today and I was worried that I had too many examples and not enough time, but that’s certainly better than the other way around.

Took a break and got some lunch and then went back to it. I got to the point that I was confident we had everything we needed and was struggling the whole time. Hit the wall hard after lunch and had to force myself to finish with what I had to do and then my power to resist gave out. I didn’t even bother to put on the tv and make an effort to stay awake, just immediately passed out for a couple hours.

When I woke up I really didn’t feel like getting up, just wanted to go back to sleep, but I felt bad enough about myself for sleeping away the day that I hauled my ass out of bed, got a Red Bull, woke up enough to get dressed to go out and, despite the snow and cold 🥶 headed out for a short walk.

I suppose it is the middle of November and to be expected, but it was properly cold and snowing. 😢 It’s starting for realsies now.

By the time I got back, even from just that short walk, it was getting to be crunch time for getting ready for work. I got myself some cereal for dinner, grabbed a shower, and got everything set up.

We started into a new chapter and a new concept: vector fields today. 🤓 We went over a few examples of how to sketch vector fields, defined a conservative vector field and showed them how to find the potential function, and then defined the divergence and curl of the field and how to calculate those. It was quite a lot of material for one class, but I did as many examples as we had time for (had to skip several I’d prepared) and ended class on time.

Once again I was all jazzed up and hungry, so I got another sandwich and then started getting ready for bed. I played my WombPlay challenges after the reset and we watched Married With Children until I fell asleep.

[Honestly, a little disappointed that I didn’t really even get a chance to think about Mythix today…even on my walk I was doing Calculus in my head (trying to prove that inverse square fields are conservative) instead.]

I guess the shitpipes got sooo clogged up that they had to shut the whole of dShitty down. 😛😂 Nor crime or crises or anything. I haven’t seen an income like that since a few “updates” back! 😳 Whatever shall they do to prevent dumping and control the token price?!?!

Finally got my Ego back under control on Rising Star and, surprisingly, don’t have any drunk fans, so just chugging along with missions again…been months and months since anything happened in this game, the rewards/level design is super bad.

Token HashKings portion of my post wherein I say, once again, that I haven’t dealt with it nor have much desire to. Maybe I should try and dump of some these excess seeds that I’m never going to use…might help to start digging myself out of this hole.

Well, I guess the Splinterlands season is done since my rental income has fallen again (yet somehow the fee has risen - token values falling). Thinking I need to swap out some of the DEC since I’m starting to feel again like this is something that I’m paying for every day but not really actually making anything (only taken income out once so far, which I immediately spent on buying my own token).

I paid the rental fee for today out the SPS interest that came in and then staked the rest. Still got another day of staking before I start saving liquid again and I still haven’t swapped out what I already have on the market (not been willing to take the falling price)…still didn’t check my voucher balance either now that I think about it.

Got my stats for the last week again today. A little disappointed that I didn’t break 100k steps again, and actually quite a lot of red flags all over the place, but at least my sleep went up slightly; gotten a bit rough lately.
