Oct. 20, 20: Discord, Xbox, Yardwork, Laps, and Games

Slept all the way until five thirty today, but still an hour and a half short. Again considering adjusting my sleep goal down, so that I can at least achieve something while draining my energy.

Usual stuff going on during the morning routine. Still not got the BLURT I sent to blurtlink. 😡

It seems Someone came up with a way to mine KOIN with a gpu. Basically everyone got screwed and the ex Stinc team are scrambling to make a gpu miner (when the promise and idea was that it wouldn’t need special equipment, just cpu for wider distribution). People have fricking farms of cores going, so it’s long been pointless for me anyway and all the transactions have failed for the last three days. I’m keeping it running (stupid) just in the hope that I can get at least one more transaction through and not just have to abandon the ETH that’s still siting in there.

Spent quite a bit of time chatting over on Discord and then went to play some Xbox. Was nice to find a new download available: The Maid of Sker, a first person survival horror type game. The graphics are amazing and it’s definitely creepy, but the control lags a little bit, which makes it feel weird. I played with the sensitivity because the crosshair was flying all over, might need to dial it back up a little.

Played through the first couple parts and popped one cheevo for 10 gamerscore, but only just got past a couple guys. They’re blind and react to any kind of sound, even your breathing! Makes it tough to hide and I quit after I died for the first time.

Felt like I needed to accomplish at least a little something and wasn’t really feeling like fighting with the computer, so I headed out to clean up the leaves in the front yard.

I got about halfway done and, as I had feared, it ran out of fuel and I didn’t have any more. 😢 Luckily, I did still have some two-cycle oil left, so just had to walk down and get a gallon of gas.

Fitbit counted it as a walk, so, I guess it counts?

Was debating whether to get some since it doesn’t seem to last very long when it sits (won’t fire after a season because of whatever chemicals they put in there), but I realized it’s the same gas for the snowblower, so I went for it.

Mixed up the gas and got the blower going again and finished the job. Of course it’s mostly just going to come back as soon as the wind blows, but small victories, eh?

Just had a quick peanut butter and jelly sandwich for dinner and started getting ready for bed, but still had some steps to go for the day, so busted out some laps.

Went past a little again, but still absolutely destroying my averages...

After that, a little Man with a Plan on the boob tube and off to sleepyland I went.

Another revolution about the Sun without getting theftified! Still saving up, though, so no major changes.

Man, seems to be hit or miss these days on my Holybread tasks. I just couldn’t get the arena wins...needed two by the end, so only one win all day. 😢

No more top ten glory, but haven’t fallen far.

Still gathering CryptoBrewmaster ingredients. I need aroma hops now and they aren’t available, but I have double stock on a couple ingredients, so hopefully that will save some time on the next one.

Another day has passed with the browser window sitting open and not playing. I want to play, I go to, but then I get flooded with memories of creased brows and pounding fists and I don’t wanna anymore.

Need to play at least one or there’ll be nothing come the end of the season...can’t believe it’s basically half gone already.
