Oct. 31, 22: Routine, PUM, Walking, Teaching, Quest, TV, and Games

[Getting a bit of a later start on my post this morning…wasn’t up particularly late, but been working on prepping for teaching this evening and the morning has gotten away from me…meanwhile, I just realized it’s Tuesday and there’s Pimp meeting…oi! 😱]

Bit of a rougher night again tonight. Although it was a little late by the time I actually got to sleep, FitBit says it was like eleven thirty. 🤷 Got up when the honkclock went off, around two thirty I think, and moved out to the couch. Was woken up again by the wife moving around at seven. According to FitBit I was an hour and a half short of my eight hour goal, but I’m going to say it was closer to between half and hour and an hour; short again either way. 😭

Got on with the normal morning routine and actually got an early start on my post. Did all the usual; checked the crypto markets which were still looking relatively good, BTC still holding up in the middle of $20k and Hive creeping back toward that $.5 ceiling. Spent some solid time shifting tokens and doing some curation and was more or less done with the morning routine about fifteen minutes or so early. That gave me hope that I would have enough time to get a proper walk in before I needed to get ready for work.

Oh, yeah! Got another Power Up Month in the bag!!! 🥳 I’ve gotten every one of them so far since they started running it. 💪

Just did the straight shot route that’s one of my favorite five kilometers:

Low fifties and raining…cummon, that’s at least three hardcoreness points right there. I was wet, but it wasn’t raining hard to be fair, and I was mostly not present anyway thinking about Mythix gameplay the whole way…more ideas are starting to solidify.

Not exactly the most beautiful day to be outside, but did it anyway.

Didn’t I just clear all the leaves off the lawn for the second time yesterday?! 🤬

Like I said, been doing a lot of thinking about Mythix gameplay the last few days. I’m definitely persuaded that a roguelike is going to be better and I’m thinking seven realms (one for each color) each with three areas and all leading to the Hellforge (an endless wave defense). I definitely need to start writing stuff down again now…I don’t really bother while the ideas are still so much in flux (otherwise it would end up being pages and pages of stuff), but I do lose some of the cool ideas I’m thinking about in between.

Got back, grabbed my usual sandwich for lunch and then got in the shower. Somehow, despite getting an early start on my walk, I ended up getting out the door nearly fifteen minutes late. 😡

The drive went smoothly, though, and I got there and was set up with a few minutes to spare. We looked at more examples of completing the square as well as the Quadratic Formula and then practiced some problems solving quadratic equations (since we now have three different tools to use) to give them some experience with how to approach problems and when to use which tool. We covered quite a few examples, and it was review mostly, so we still ended class about fifteen minutes or so early.

The drive home went well also (spent the time thinking about more Mythix stuff) and I had a good hour when I got home before Wenche was due to be back from work, so I busted out the Quest and started working on the four hundred piece version of the new haunted house on Puzzling Places. Man, time flies in that game! I got about ten percent of it done when Wenche came in the door and I quit out.

We hadn’t made any plans for dinner and hadn’t gotten anything out of freezer, so Wenche made us some French toast for dinner again and I took care of the dishes in the sink.

After dinner we pretty much just relaxed in front of the tube and watched a couple episodes of Murder, She Wrote until bedtime. I played some WombPlay games after the daily reset and then fell asleep.

And so it begins…with my ultimate favorite dShitty shittiness: General Crime. 🤬 Knocked me down about fifty percent this time! Major shitty! After three days of quiet, I figure it’s going to be like this or worse for a while now…

Of course, of course! After running two lessons yesterday to finally get my Ego back to zero, now there’s fucking drunk fans and my Ego is back up to seven. Endless and pointless summarizes this game perfectly. 😡

I did get the stupid dust BEER and WEED payments but they were spread all over and not worth taking three pictures.

Yet again, I have not dealt with HashKings. I think this is the fourth day now since they’ve been due up.

So my Splinterlands card rentals seem to be averaging out to about three dollars per day, which I suppose isn’t too bad. Going to take a little time, I suppose, to observe how it behaves over time. Still, it is more value (and less frustration) than I was getting, especially since I wasn’t playing.

Claimed my SPS interest for today and staked all of it up, except enough to pay the rental fees for the day. For now I’m just letting the vouchers accrue again since I still have all of what I moved out still waiting.
