Oct. 4, 20: AutomaticWin, Grocery Shopping, Mom Visit, and Games

I called in to Sears. Seems they have my sleep on layaway. 🤪 Actually, today wasn’t so bad; I was still up before five, but I fell asleep early enough to get a full eight. Dragging like hell, though.

I’d moved my Blurt powerdown over to HE and got the sale set (after some fighting), but it almost immediately got buried like five orders deep, so I canceled the order and just took the market buy. Got fifty this time, so quite a bit better than the last one. Thinking I’ll probably just power it up...dunno.

Kinda lame that I didn’t get the PUD Helper Badge even though I powered up Solairitas. They said it was because I’d powered up that account before (which I don’t think was in the rules), but whatever...a little salty, but it doesn’t really mean anything.

I feel really bad, I’m like three weeks behind on the Solairitas Weekly News Update! 🤭😭 With all the node issues lately, I’ve been having trouble getting all the HE tokens staked and set to be recorded. It’s a lame excuse, though...which is why I feel bad.

Speaking of which, I spent an hour this morning trying to stake .003 PAL! 🤪🤣 Had to import my keys into keychain for the umpteenth time and then finally realized that part of the problem was on my end. I had set the Hivesigner node to deathwing which made it not load up.

I had to go in and clear the website data from Safari before I could get back in to change the node. Tried like three or four different nodes and just kept getting errors, but finally tried pharesim and got a transaction through!

Clearing the Hivesigner data also finally let me get back into CryptoBrewmaster, so stuff is starting to be functional again, at least tentatively.

By that point my eyes were nearly crossed from going round in circles and being frustrated, so it was the perfect time to get out into the woods!

Definitely not the nicest day to be out. I argue that it was worth five hardcoreness points...one for going out, one for not turning around when the rain started, and three for going knowing it was likely to rain. 💪

Kinda’ cold and dreary morning. Still, good to get some exercise and score the #AutomaticWin.

Lady was set and ready to go! Love seeing her get progressively more adventurous as we go along. 😍 Most of the time, she’s right close by our feet, but she’s starting to run into the woods after Dude.

Speaking of Dude, I didn’t even get a shot of him today. He was being a bit naughty, actually, not listening and running out into the woods doing his crazy yapping business.

I just about had a heart attack when two Coyotes crosses the path ahead of us!!!! 😱 Dude started after them and so I bolted after him yelling at the top of my lungs. Don’t think they’d tolerate being chased, probably rip him to shreds. I did get him to stop and turn around, though, and by then I think they were long gone.

Really starting to see the fall colors setting in here and there.

If the cold and rain brings anything other than Arthritis aching, it brings out the mushrooms! They’re having a great time out there.

Naughty mushroom! Put those away, there’s decent people about!

After we got back, I did my post for the day and we headed into town to do the weekly grocery shopping. We didn’t do too bad this time, got mostly food and would have been under $100 but we had to replace the toaster now. So, basically all of the appliances have had to be replaced at this point within the last year...still furnace and dishwasher to go. 🥺

In the evening Mom came over. She was going to bring us Subway for dinner, but they were closed, so Wenche heated up the leftover pizza from yesterday.

Was nice to have a chat and spend some time. Mom even offered to help us with a mortgage to get a newer house and walk away from this one. As much as I don’t want debt or to have to move or...it’s a generous, and tempting offer. If I could get my money’s worth out of this place and not have all that work hanging over my head, could be a good thing. 🤔

After she headed home we watched some more Daybreak (I totally dig that show 😄) but I didn’t make it very long and ended up sleeping in my clothes all night. 🤭

Another crime free day in my dCity today! 🤗 So nice when things go smoothly. Up over a thousand SIM again, but that’s not going to cut the mustard yet.

Got all my Holybread tasks done for the day. Only like 70 more days till I can get a new hero. 😧

Still hanging on. No top ten glory, but doing alright nevertheless. Not as many wins today as yesterday, but as long as I get the three, I’m good.

Not had any more problems logging in after I got stuff resolved this morning. Just been gathering up ingredients; still two more to go before I can start a brew.

Today was the second day of my break from playing Splinterlands. To be honest, there were a couple times throughout the day that I was mildly tempted to play, but I shrugged it off pretty easily.

Got into PeakMonsters and started digging around a bit. Got the delegation authorization set up and went through the process of putting a card up for rent. Didn’t pull the trigger yet, but I think I have a grasp of what to do if or when I decide to go that route.
