March 3 was the 2nd day of our Sports Meet and it was Sunday. Even if it's the day of the Lord but then we were working just to serve our delegation in response to the call of duty. The second day was the scheduled opening program starting with a parade. Even if it's the opening of the activity, other games started. That's why we must prepare the food early since some athletes would bring packed lunches. We need to cook at least 4 menus and we must double the number of rice to be prepared. Waking up early is a must for all of us. So on the second day, instead of waking up by 2:00 am, we woke up by 3:00 am since some athletes would just stay at the billeting quarters.

We cooked boiled eggs, tortang talong, ham, and dried boneless for breakfast. For our lunch, we cooked pork steak and Menudo and of course more or less 30 kilos of rice. After cooking, we served breakfast and we packed up lunch. When done packing, we went to San Fernando Market this time to purchase needed ingredients and some other commodities needed in the kitchen. Together with my co-chair mam Maris, @batanggwapo, @itsmateo, and mam Jenny, we did the marketing. With our market list, we went to various sections of the market. We felt a little bit exhausted in marketing yet we enjoyed it as it was our role and daily routine for this one-week responsibility in this big activity.

After marketing, we then prepared the ingredients needed in cooking for our supper. For this day, we prepared a vegetable dish and fried fish and for the coaches, we added stir-fried squid. Our athletes, coaches as well as officiating officials had a satisfying meal on that day. The kitchen personnel was all tired yet when we saw the satisfaction of our delegation with the food we served, we found simple happiness within us, and in that way, we found a little motivation for our job.
