Casemiro to Leave Man United at the End of The Season

Knowing when stages come to an end.
Knowing when to say goodbye when you feel that you will be remembered and respected forever.
Four months to give my all for this badge and for our goal.
Eternal respect and affection for Manchester United and its wonderful fans.
Forever Red Devil.

It is such a breath of fresh air seeing a football player actually behave like a true professional. Many players will try and push for a new, expensive contract knowing that their legs are giving out.
Not Casemiro.
He has probably seen the comments on social media, where fans have been asking the club not to renew his contract. Equally, there has been talk about Casemiro needing to start a certain number of games in order to activate his 1 year extension. Predictably, fans didn't want that to happen and Casemiro must have come across that discourse.
When he says "Knowing when to say goodbye when you feel that you will be remembered and respected forever" you can probably infer that he know the fans don't see him as a United player beyond this season.
For a player to recognize that and rather than get mad at the fans but clear up the air with 4 months to go, you can only applaud that. Man United supporters will do everything possible to make him feel special. Feel loved. Every goal he scores will be celebrated like a winner. His name will be chanted in the stands until the last game of the season.
His legacy at the club is cemented.
But beyond that, the club finds itself in a great place. Casemiro was earning at least 18 million pounds per year in wages. The savings on his salary alone could fund a transfer or even fund the wages of two players.
This is a win-win situation.
We can only guess who the club are looking at to inherit Casemiro's boots. But whoever it will be, they will have massive boots to fill. Good luck to them.
