Damarai Gray would be the perfect replacement for Fernandez once his loan is complete. They are of the same level of ability but Gray has premier league experience and will offer more than Fernandez going forward.
That said Defensive reinforcements are primary but it is not unlike Mourinho to go for the wrong signings.

The Gedson Fernandes deal is an 18-month loan with an option to buy at the end of it so you would assume that he is a long-term option as well. I wouldn't mind Gray at Spurs, I just don't think he's the kind of signing that is going to get anyone excited + you know he's going to score against this afternoon after this story 🤣

To be quite frank, I'd be happy not to be in the Europa League! I know financially there is still some benefit but I don't think we've got the squad to play at least 6 extra mid-week matches. We'd have a better chance of top 4 without it!
The only thing I want is for us to finish above Arsenal😀
I must admit that is the very reason I want Spurs in the Europa League.
Unfortunately, we have no say in the matter after a horrific goalkeeping display at Wembley. I don't care about the loss since my eyes are on the West Ham game after Spurs demolished Leicester. However, I am nervous about De Gea. He has cost us games this season and he is one of the reasons why we are in this position.

Well you do have the best young keeper in the country. Time to get him back from loan at Sheffield United and see what he can do!
Not sure if it is that easy. De Gea on too much money. There is Romero to think about. Not forgetting Lee Grant stealing a living.
The question steal needs to be asked. Maybe it is worth the risk after all.
