Mortal Kombat - One of my Favorite eSports Games

Like I have mentioned quite a lot of times now, esports games are ranked as my favourite video game genres alongside genres like adventure and platformer games. In my previous post, I talked about tekken and how it is one of my favourite games. Today, I will be talking about Mortal Kombat, a very popular game that a lot of hardcore gamers already know. Back in the days, mortal kombat was one of the first video games I ever owned and I have to say, those days were memorable and can never be forgotten in a hurry.

For me, mortal kombat is my favourite fighting game till date. There are lots of other fighting games out there but for me, no one comes close to mortal kombat in terms of gameplay and gaming experience. My first mortal kombat experience was on the sega mega drive 2 16 bit console – one of, if not the best game on the sega 16 bit console alongside games like super sonic. Playing mortal kombat on sega was heavenly and a great experience. I can remember vividly how I used to try to master the various brutalities and fatalities of my favorite characters like noob saibot, scorpion, subzero, jade, cyrax etc. It wasn’t an easy task, but I was able to memorize a few most especially that of noob saibot as I feel he has the easiest moves.

Mortal Kombat has since evolved and gotten very advanced compared to what it used to be years ago (even though it was amazing years ago). Mortal Kombat on PC or the PS4 is jaw dropping… not only are the characters and graphics stunning, the moves and combos has gotten a lot better. I haven’t played so much mortal kombat on PS4 recently, but the last time I played it with a friend, I was simply amazing and the experience was top notch.

Unlike before when I mostly used a selected few characters, I now explore all the characters and try to get a different experience from using most of the characters in the game. Like I mentioned previously, I am not a huge fan of playing against cpu, I prefer playing against real humans and for me, the experience is a lot better. I have quite a number of friends who love gaming, so it is natural for me to enjoy playing them. I am not really great at playing mortal kombat on ps4, but I am good enough to get a satisfied number of wins when I play against friends.

The recent mortal kombat release is amazing, the graphics style, gameplay and finishing moves are what makes mortal kombat the best fighting game out there. Yes, so many people might have their own opinion as to which game is the best fighting game, but for me, none of the fighting games I have played comes close to the awesomeness of mortal kombat. One of the things I like about the game aside the stunning graphics is the cinematic and the combos, for me, it add a lot to the overall gaming experience. Until a better fighting game is released, mortal kombat remains my favorite fighting esport game. Thanks for reading!
