The language of numbers does not rule football

In any world Haaland can be considered the best in history
If the numbers were everything in football, we would have watched games across census sites!
A terrifying start for Norwegian Erling Haaland with Manchester City and a golden opportunity to achieve a historic record in the Premiership and break Mohamed Salah's No. in the 2017-2018 season with ease.
Many, many and varied goals for a player who has not yet arrived for his 22nd year, and it seems from his method and statements that he cares nothing but about football and scoring goals, which suggests a terrifying future in which Haaland could break the numbers of big Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo!
These things have led some to wait a lot for Haaland in the future and expectations of breaking all possible records, and this has led others to worry that the new generation will be as good a player as it can be to register as a reference for the best in the world in the post-Messi and Ronaldo world!
But the truth is that's not the case, because football doesn't follow through the census sites, but Ronaldinho's glamorous footage that founded a whole generation of game fans will never stop.
If we look at what Haaland has to offer on the field, we'll find that he's a ridiculous scoring player, capable of moving in the blind zone behind the defense and finding the right position to position and put the ball in the net.
Perhaps the goal seems easy because it usually only needs one touch to put it in the net, but the ability to position and create the most suitable place for it is undoubtedly to be counted.
Cristiano Ronaldo himself - precisely after exceeding 30 - had nothing as special as his ability to find the place best suited for him to put the ball in the net and always appear in every game with an amazing ability to score.
All these things count for Haaland, and make him one of the best strikers ever, and this applies to many of the dazzling players in scoring throughout history who are most important to Gerd Mueller who dominated so many of the scoring singles that Lionel Messi as well as Robert Lewandowski smashed them.
Although we were fascinated by the figures, Haaland's attitude among the rest of the players will not make him a day to be placed in the best position in history, and the reason football is simple is not just goals.
Best in History
In a report published by British magazine FourFourTwo, she selected the top 100 players in round history.
Messi came first followed by Maradona and then Cristiano Ronaldo, and the phenomenon Ronaldo, Johan Cruyff and others occupied an advanced order.
If we look at these players, many of them will not find a place among the historic scorers or record-holders in scoring, especially Maradona, whom others consider to be the best to give birth to football.
Maradona did not score many goals, he was not even the top scorer of the 1986 World Cup but his fingerprints were always clear, his first, second and third touch, his dazzling dribbles and his ability to pass the ball in spaces that no one expected.
Johan Cruyff was not a goalscorer either, but he possessed a wonderful vision, amazing skill and ability to understand the game perhaps better than the rest of his generation, so his influence extended beyond retirement and even after discontinuing training.
Maradona and Cruyff specifically were in Gerd Mueller's generation, yet the latter did not arrive for the same fame as the first duo, and the simple reason is that everyone would like to enjoy football is more than just watching the ball in the net.
Many are therefore impressed by Pedri's level, Javi's ability to squeeze, Vinicius Junior's dribbles, Benzema technicians off the field or Luka Modric's passes.
By them, Iniesta and Xavi also found a place among adults, Robin and Ribery, Schneider and Van Percy, Ronaldinho and Neymar and the list goes on.
The distinctive touch remains enjoyable for everyone, the unusual pass remains poignant, the elusiveness of the magic remains in the eyes of followers.
Perhaps in the future Haaland becomes the best player in history for those who have decided not to watch games and just settle for numbers, but the majority still love watching the game and knowing the most accurate details of it so there is nothing to worry about the future and how the audience can rate players!
This has always been my fear for the round leather game. It is becoming too business and result oriented that we often overlook the true beauty of the game which is in the fine details of the flair.
As much as I admire great goalscorers and their positional intelligence, I miss the times where football was more entertainment and less business. We'll forever miss the likes of Ronaldinho, Zidane, Cruyf, Maradona etc. Those were the people that made us fall in love with the game
