Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo Wizardry
The GOAT (Greatest Of All Time) battle may seem to be over for Lionel Messi fans after he won the 2022 FIFA World Cup. However, it's far from over to most Ronaldo fans at the same time.
If you've always been on the lookout on Twitter when Messi or Ronaldo play you will surely see their fans come after each other with mockery statements like "Pessi" when Messi scores a penalty kick and "Penaldo" when Cristiano scores from the spot. It's always fun to watch the banter.
To me both players are great and when you look at their current form in their respective teams you will agree with me that these guys are spectacular. To be candid, I may like one of them the most which is Lionel Messi but I can't miss watching the master of goals Cristiano Ronaldo.
Last month, Ronaldo and Messi led their teams to victory. Each of them won a trophy as the best player and highest goal scorer of the tournament in their respective clubs. Ronaldo is the best player of Al Nassr FC while Messi is the best player of Inter Miami CF.
The money and influence of Cristiano Ronaldo have enticed some of the best players in Europe such as Karim Benzema, Neymar, and Sadio Mane to join the Saudi league.
We are yet to see such influence in the MLS. I don't think we will witness such influence because I don't expect a significant influx of money from the United States Government to flush into MLS. But Messi's influence has significantly increased Inter Miami ticket prices by over ten times (from $25 to $280).
The image above shows the spot where Cristiano and Messi have scored free kicks. Ronaldo has the longest shot scoring from 40 yards. He achieved this during his time at Manchester United against Arsenal. Ronaldo is known for his incredible shooting power. On the other hand, Messi is renowned for his exceptional dribbling skills and creativity.
Messi with 44 trophies holds the record for being the most decorated player in football followed closely by Daniel Alves with 43 trophies. Ronaldo is the leading international goal scorer having scored 123 goals followed by Ali Daei of Iran with 109 goals. Additionally, Ronaldo is the top all-time goal scorer in the UEFA Champions League with 140 goals while Lionel Messi closely trails behind with 129 goals.
In conclusion, I have profound respect for both Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. They have attained great success through their relentless hard work. It is important to acknowledge that while Messi is considered highly talented, there are numerous other talented players who have not been able to meet people's expectations. Therefore it is crucial to show respect when mentioning the names of Messi and Ronaldo. We should demonstrate our reverence by addressing them with the highest regard.

Really I didn't come here to convince you, I actually came to tell us not to make everything about a contest between both players. Mr @dfacademy hasn't written this post for the argument of who is better( eventhough he might have his own preference between the two), so can we please just respect this blog for what it is and eschew this "who is better" talk.
