Happy weekend everyone! It's been quite busy days for us, we've been working on the production of new jerseys and changing our Bamboo Goal Post to a standard goal post, you will see it once everything is finalized. It's gonna be massive!!!

At the start of this week, we traveled to Idasho to play a friendly match with Success Football Club and we are glad and grateful that we came back home with a victory.

Our boys did well despite the field being quite wide, we outperform the home team from the beginning to the end of the match. In today's training, we made corrections to the mistakes made by the DFA team during the match.

We arrived at the pitch at around 2 PM, we left around 11:30 AM, which was one hour and 30 minutes journey. The match was supposed to start at 3 PM but since we were there on time, we agreed to start as early as possible. The boys did workouts with the ball, stretches, Rondo drills, after some mins they boys changed their kits to our away jersey kit.

The referee and the other officials line-men lined both teams on each side. DFA on the right-hand side while the home team, Success FC on the left-hand side. After the proper arrangement, the officials and both teams lined into the field and the home team gave a compliment to the away team.

After the handshake, the referee called both captains to choose their sides and discussed other necessary stuff, and here is the DFA team discussing and waiting for the captain to join them.

After the captain joined the team, they prayed and the match started. The time spent on either half is 35 minutes, and that makes it 70 minutes in total.

The match started and we got the early possession and we maintained the possession throughout the full minutes of the match. We missed several chances that would have been converted to goal but the net denied us several times. Although the home team also missed some chances that's 2/10 of what we missed.

During the half-time, the home team had two substitutions while DFA had one towards the end of halftime. The halftime ended and the scoreline remained 0 - 0. During the first half break, the DFA manager explained the lapses of the game to the boys and emphasize the clean chances that were missed.

We got into the second half of the match. And the away team kicked the ball from the middle line, a few minutes after DFA got into possession again and got a set-piece. The set-piece was passed between Sherach and Biodun and played a long ball into the box-six and the Taiwo headed the ball into the net. That gave DFA the first goal of the match. While the home team is struggling to equalize DFA was trying to add another goal and also defend the lone goal by Taiwo. DFA made two changes towards the end of 5 minutes of the full match.

The referee blows the final whistle and DFA won by a lone goal. That was a sweet match and an outstanding performance by most of the DFA boys. In today's training we've corrected the errors made in the match, we learn, unlearn, and relearn in every training day!
