trying to raise my Blitz rating, one game at a time
After having a particularly hard day at work there's nothing better than sitting down to play a few games of Blitz and see how far I can push the rating this time.
Not much has happened in these games but I can point out a few things like that we are already beating players above 2200 on a consistent basis.
Plus I'm getting back to training and practising puzzles which I think is the most solid way to increase your chess level quickly.
Let's remember that chess is an effort to recognize patterns constantly and in real time so solving puzzles will help me along the way when I'm playing a game.
Not much to comment on these positions but I think in some of them I was at a disadvantage and I was able to win the game in a very good way.
In the first one I think is where this example is evident and that is that I was a pawn down for the whole opening and yet I was able to put my pieces in the best positions to attack that weakness and finally win the game.
If all goes well with my day tomorrow I'll probably be doing another post playing some more Blitz and although I didn't increase my rating as much as I would like I think it's good to keep up the pace.
Especially because the weekly tournament is coming up and there it is true that there are some pretty strong players even with a lower rating than me.
Congratulations!
