Hello friends

There is no place to live here permanently.
You can get used to the boomboxes that drone on until midnight in front of every little store.
To the children of the Montessori school next door, too.
But in the time from midnight to sunrise I would like to have some peace and quiet.
Unfortunately, there is no such thing here. In front of my house there is a speed limit threshold in the asphalt. That is, everyone brakes down to walking speed and then accelerates again until 50 cm before the next threshold, which is in about 100 meters. With European driving style and vehicles, this should not be a problem.
But here the motorcycles are obviously delivered in principle with toggle switches for idle and full throttle.
In addition, silencers on the bike or car seem to be just an unloved option.
But it is good that it is so. Without this experience here in this residential area, I would not have paid attention when looking for an apartment.

Hier ist kein Platz zum Leben auf Dauer.
An die Boomboxen, die bis Mitternacht dröhnen vor jedem kleinen Laden kann man sich gewöhnen.
An die Kinder der Montessori-Schule nebenan auch.
Aber in der Zeit von Mitternacht bis Sonnenaufgang hätte ich gerne etwas Ruhe.
Nur die gibt es hier leider nicht . Vor meinem Haus ist so eine Schwelle im Asphalt zur Geschwindigkeitsbegrenzung. Das heißt, jeder bremst bis auf Schrittgeschwindigkeit ab und beschleunigt danach wieder bis 50 cm vor der nächsten Schwelle, die in ca. 100 Metern ist. Bei europäischer Fahrweise und Fahrzeugen sollte das auch kein Problem sein.
Aber hier werden die Motorräder offensichtlich grundsätzlich mit Kippschaltern für Standgas und Vollgas ausgeliefert.
Außerdem scheinen Schalldämpfer am Bike oder Auto nur eine ungeliebte Option zu sein.
Doch es ist gut, dass es so ist. Ohne diese Erfahrung hier in diesem Wohngebiet hätte ich bei der Wohnungssuche nicht darauf geachtet.

The pictures are from my highlight yesterday. I discovered a real supermarket. With price tags and scales and goods I was looking for in the 40 little stores before for nothing.
