Hay huts - My Actifit Report Card: June 14 2022
Several of these little huts are scattered over the hills where there is a lot of hay and tall grass. They are built on the same plot of land where the hay will be harvested and used to store the dried hay in the winter because people don't know where exactly the hay will be used yet or do not have a central larger place to store it.
In order to facilitate access, they are usually built close to a road.
It used to be that the hay was cut all by hand in the past, even today in some places, but we are seeing a change with more and more people that live in the hills/mountains using mechanized cutters, many times brand new, but most often already used machinery.
However, all the tasks related to collecting hay, loading, and unloading are still done by hand. If you're looking to stay fit, that's a really good exercise for you :))
