Devil's gorges & Actifit August 8 2023

This area, or more precisely, these "gorges" are named "Rezervatia Cheile Moara Dracului", which for a clearer understanding for everyone, translates to English as "The Devil's Mill Gorges Reserve".

The name reflects local legends or stories associated with the place, maybe there was a mill in the area, that I can understand, but why Devil's mill or Devil's gorges? I'm sorry to disappoint, but I have no idea.

@silvertop @elizabetbit would this trail be of interest to you? Would an elevation difference of 3245ft on a 9 miles trail pose any difficulty or you are too experienced already?

I think I'm gonna pass, any kind of gorges/keys in this country are dangerous enough, but when you see the "dodgy improvised" wooden paths/bvridges and even more you bring the Devil to the table... I'm outa here...

Hey @drlobes! It could be interesting, but I would be concerned about the sturdiness of some of those wooden bridges! If they are in good condition, we could maybe do it. There is the issue of @silvertop's fear of heights though.

The elevation difference shouldn't be too much of a problem. We have hiked many a trail at 10,000+ feet in the past. You just need to stop and rest when you need to.

Of course, it's easy to feel adventurous sitting behind a keyboard, lol! Take care!
