An activity I trully hated as a kid, picking up potatoes by hand, and there were lots of poatatoes in this area as they are a staple food for the people in this country. Just thinking about it makes me cringe, aarrrgghhh meehhh... :))))

Did you pick up these potatoes for the family supply of potatoes, or did you do this to earn money?

They were on family-owned land, but 90-95% of the production was sold as the prices were high enough at that time. I bought my first PC in 98' I think by selling new potatoes every day in the market for a month, it was around $700 :)))

I have memories of my grandma digging for potatoes. I always loved the smell of the earth when she did it. I understand; a field that size would not be much fun!
