Traditional footwear from the past & Actifit November 24 2023
In the past, poor people from the countryside used to wear this type of footwear because they were quite cheap, simply made from animal leather, which made them quite durable. It seems that lately this fashion is making a comeback, I understand that the person who makes them can't keep up with the orders.

Very interesting moccasins! Does the person who makes them put any kind of sole on this, or just the leather as is? I used to be an avid moccasin wearer some years ago. I had bootie types and even laced up knee high ones. They were quite spendy back then, but some, like the booty type I wore, didn't have a sole and would wear out fairly quickly at the ball of your foot. I resorted to putting layers of duct tape on that area to try to get further wear out of them, lol! I loved my mocs!
Now unfortunately, I don't think my feet would care for them too much as I need some arch support.

On the outside, nothing, on the inside something can be added to better support your feet, but most times not even that, just some very thick socks made from wool. Nowadays they are mostly used only for a few hours at traditional music festivals so they don't see that much wear.
Search online for images with the word "opinci", you'll see so many variations, this footwear would be best suited to be worn in movies with "hobbits". :)))
