"Traditional" products & Actifit August 2 2025
In the courtyard of the Village Museum in this county, more recently, you can find various things sold directly by producers. There are too many to post them all, so I chose only a few more interesting ones. From wooden countertops of different shapes and types of wood, to handcrafted bracelets, to perfumes and cosmetics made with/from lavender, to the local "moonshines" which is very likely among the best selling products. :))

Buying from the producers like this is best, as you can talk to them on what seen and how you like their work. It’s a beautiful museum in the county.
nice pixel art on the first pic! :D we have similar ones... especially the last white/red ones, which we wear since the beginning of March :) (baba Marta) & we gift to each other & when spring feels coming we transfer the Martenitsa to a blossoming tree :)
second pic: artsy drinking set :D
& cutting board for the 'meze'
That artsy drinking board set will be used only for the first few rounds after which the drinking glasses will be all over the table. :))
hahah :) at least we start with style :D
Nobody will be using that one at home for themselves, only when they have guests to show off :))
yes for sure :)
we have similar traditions and culture

I seem to recall from my Hungarian daughter-in-law that moonshine is legal in Hungary…
How is it regulated in Romania?
I love the woodworking simply beautiful!!!
It's still a complicated grey area to me, it's legal but you have to declare/let them know what you're doing and with what, and pay taxes even if you produce a small quantity for your own consumption which most people won't do and it's very difficult to check.
Those who produce to sell need to have all the papers in order and pay taxes on everything.
I can understand people’s reluctantly, especially if it’s personal consumption!👍
Sounds like the government just wants taxes!🙄
It’s the same situation with selling precious metals over here. You can sell Gold or Silver in a coin shop with no paperwork, but the government will tell you you still are required to report it………☺️😇
Government wants your everything if possible
So very true my friend, one of the reasons we have bitcoin!💪😊

Very nice, but my question is: did you buy anything? I love craft booths like this, but don't always buy.
The moonshine is interesting. Our daughter in law's father used to make it before he passed away last August. It was pretty strong stuff!
Thanks for sharing! Take care and enjoy your week!
I didn't, I wasn't in need of anything on display. :))
Maybe next time!
The village museum has lovely crafts
They look good
