Tracks & Actifit November 9 2025
The old steam train line/tracks are getting some repairs done the "traditional" way :))) and by traditional I mean that apart from the use of a small digger/excavator the rest of the work has to be done of course by hand.

Sometimes the old ways are best. It would seem to me that it would bring a sense of nostalgia in doing that way, abeit hard work in doing so.
Is this considered 'narrow gauge' 3' between rails?
Thanks for sharing!
YEs it's a narrow track, about 2.5feet or 30 inches between the rails (76cm).
Very nice! That's actually a bit smaller than our narrow gauge, which is 36" between the rails. Thanks for answering! !LADY
Yes they made it narrower because it allowed sharper curves through mountain valleys and forests where logs were harvested, also cheaper and faster to build through difficult terrain.
