It's the same here but you get the fine only if you are stopped and they see you not wearing it, its hard to enforce this law on everyone at all times.

They are pretty tough over here with seatbelt laws!
One time Liz was riding in my pick up truck with me, I have a bench seat.
She was sitting in the middle next to me with a seatbelt “On”.
The police actually pulled us over because he said she wasn’t wearing a seatbelt with a shoulder strap!
Liz informed him she was sitting in the middle position that does not require a shoulder strap!
He shrugged and then let us go without a ticket!😇👍☺️
Speeding and nasty overtaking is the main problem on our roads, and drink driving... so when you're neither of those or not even the driver, you may think you don't need that seatbelt on you and for some unlucky people it could turn out to be the biggest and last mistake in their life.
So sad, so very true!🙄
Sounds like people in Romania drive the same way they do up here!😮
