Wednesday Walk and Thoughts - My Actifit Report Card: April 2 2025

Hey Actifiters, I hope you are all having a great week and finding ways to be active!

I am proud of myself for working towards getting back into an activity routine this week. It's been a little bit easier for me with the weather cooperating at different points. I've been able to hit the timing just right and get a walk in everyday so far.

Today provided another nice break from the rain. It rained last night, but was sunny this morning and partly cloudy most of the afternoon. I was able to step away and take a lunch break during the afternoon which allowed me to take advantage of the partly cloudy day.

I'm grateful to be more active this week. I know that getting my daily steps in is only one component to my goal of being healthier. But it is a step in the right direction.

I'm reminded again this week through some choices of staying up too late and not really eating the most healthy foods, that sleep and diet are other components of health that need my attention as well. I would like to lose some weight, but more than that, I want to be strong and healthy since I'm turning 40 this year. God only knows how long I'll live, but it does almost feel like a halfway point. I can understand why some people have midlife crisis in their '40s or '50s. It's hard not to think of things going downhill from here. Whatever may come though, I will trust God with my life. And will continue to strive to be healthier physically so that I can be there for my family. And be able to participate in what God has in store for my life making the most of the days I'm given.
