My Actifit Report Card: July 30 2025
Hey Actifiters, I hope you're all having a great week and finding ways to be active!
Weather this week has been quite warm in the rogue valley. I've been trying to keep an eye on forecasts and take an earlier lunch to get out and get some steps in. So far this week it's been pretty helpful. I certainly need the activity, and everyday it seems to be good for my mental health and focus. Part of the time, my walks have been beneficial to give me extra time to pray and meditate. Today was a great opportunity for that. And it was wonderful to be able to enjoy the Sun and fresh air.

Today I was also thinking about the discipline it takes for me to get some sort of regular activity everyday. And, it got me thinking about how there are other areas of my life that I want to be more disciplined and have better routines for. This past week I have definitely been staying up too late. And of course staying up too late makes it even harder to get up in the mornings. So as I reflected today, I can see that I really need more of a evening bedtime routine so that I can get to bed earlier. Earlier. Because one thing that I'd like to do is start getting up earlier to be able to work out and spend some time reading each day. Or if not everyday at least half of my days. As I posted about before, I would really like to lose some weight. And, now that I've started a new hobby with archery, I also have talked about how I need to build some more muscle to be more effective at that. So two goals I suppose over the coming months. Stay active and work out regularly.
Of course, like I was just talking about a focus on those two things is going to necessitate some more discipline, a better routine, particularly at bedtime and for waking up each day. Hopefully I can make some progress on that 🙂
Just have to remember to take it one day at a time and remember that every little bit counts.
