Workout, Walk, Wednesday - My Actifit Report Card: August 13 2025
Hey Actifiters, I hope you're all having a great week and finding ways to be active!
Today, I ended up waking up a little bit before my alarm this morning. Normally I would roll over and go back to bed, but somehow I managed to just get up and shut off my alarm.
Getting up a bit earlier allowed me some time to work out. Something that I have wanted to do for quite a while. And have the goal of making more a part of my routine. It was actually an answer to prayer, as I have been praying about ways to be more disciplined and take better care of my body. I want to be in better physical and spiritual shape so to speak. Working out and exercising my body is part of that. And the other part of it is making time for prayer, Bible reading and connection with God.
So getting up allowed me an opportunity to work out. Didn't have as much time to read my Bible as I would have liked before having to head off to work. But it was a start.
My workout was really energizing. I followed an HIT method where lifted weights at a high intensity rather than just taking my time. It felt really good and was a great way to start the day.
Today thankfully wasn't quite as hot as earlier in the week. I don't think it got over 100 today, but it was in the upper '90s in Medford. Trying to beat the heat, I took my lunch early and got my stroll on the duck ponds in. It was nice to be able to get out and enjoy some sunshine.
